I want to know why someone sculpted a fully anatomically correct naked man in the town square and locals were like, "that's definitely a snowman and not the work of a pervert,"!!!
Had Thanksgiving at my mom's and her bf was watching Christmas movies on Netflix. I wasn't even paying attention to the trailer that was auto playing until I heard her say, "Why did they make Frosty a hot dude?"
Honestly a missed opportunity for a dad bod OR another Winter Horror movie
I saw the trailer for it the other day. The guy looks he would be cast in a non-speaking role for a 30 Rock gag about models or male strippers. A weird kind of ostentatious look.
Now that I've seen it- that guy just looked weirder and weirder to me as the movie went on, albeit with a rocking bod. It was dumber than I thought it'd be and not as funny as I'd hoped.
I was stuck on the part where the woman was "so broke and can't take care of herself" but yet had a full face of makeup on and didn't blink at frosty running up her credit card.
And as the snow melted I began to realize he was not rotund. The downy snow melted from his body like the morphing of the terminator, revealing abs that glisten off the snow reflected sun.
That's why the movie is called "HOT Frosty." He's Frosty the Snowman - but hot. Not Dad Bob Frosty. LOL! (IMHO the movie was dumb. But sometimes we all need a little mind-numbing escapism.)
I didn’t enjoy it as a much as my favourite, Sundays at Tiffany’s. Or even Christmas Prince for that matter. But it was watchable. The abs didn’t hurt.
Fun Fact. That movie was filmed in my hometown in Canada. Such a boost to our economy over the 3 weeks that they filmed. Since its release, it’s created a huge buzz for us locals, some of which were hired as extras.
Empathizing with others to build an empathy following:
I am hopeful that we are in "my body aligns with my goals" culture. Meaning if someone is too big/small/etc. to meet their goals (e.g. adventure or enthusiastic enjoyment of cuisine) then society can support autonomous changes of that body.
I'm so mad that the very movie you speak of is on due to my partner's parents being in the TV driver's seat, and yes, this guy is like if you dehydrated Ezra Miller FURTHER, if you add water, he is just Ezra Miller
Yeah, I also wondered why they cast such a weird-looking guy and checked Google. Literally every picture of him that isn't from this movie, he's handsome. I don't know how they made him look this terrible.
It's proof that humans need fat. His face has none. Idk who made him feel like he has to be that, but it's sad to see. Many male celebrities talk about how much they hate being that lean. The overall impact it has.
The actor was in Schitts Creek, Rutherford Falls & Dirk Gently. He's normally genuinely handsome. But for some reason the producers got him unrecognizably gaunt and gave him a scraggly page boy haircut. It's very odd and (I suspect) male-gazey.
Yeah, he just didn't look healthy at all. Normally don't care about looks but seeing as he was meant to be so attractive I couldn't help but realize how unhealthy he looked. He almost resembled a mummy. Sad he felt the pressure to reach that.
There was a smell of adolescent boys drawing very cut hyper-eight-pack-abs in a notebook, telling each other girls like this. Very Abercrombie c. 1997 homophilic. And it ravaged his face. I wonder if ozempic misuse was involved.
His face was definitely death like. He seems to be a victim of Hollywood beauty standards. I hope he enjoys good meals and roles that value him as he is.
We should be fat shaming but we also shouldn't ignore that certain things are objectively unhealthy just because we're afraid to hurt people's feelings.
If you're 600 lb we probably shouldn't be saying "you are totally fine just the way you are"
There is NEVER an excuse to fat shame. Even if someone is 600lbs. That's THEIR business. You may have an opinion about their health, but their health could be the very reason they're 600lbs. I have 0 tolerance for ANY type of bullying.
Casting a skinny dude to act as a snowman is definitely... A choice. I say this as a small dude. I feel like a snowman should be a similar physique to Santa, just younger with a top hat.
I can't say that I could name more than a small handful of male actors who are excessively skinny or gaunt. Whereas I could come up with several dozen women. It's definitely not as apparent in an on-screen context.
He was also in Rutherford Falls as a hot journalist with facial hair! (That’s an excellent show that got cancelled too soon, everyone should watch.) I was shocked at how underweight he looked in the Hot Frosty trailer.
I googled Hot Snowman but the results say Hot Frosty which is honestly an even worse name. Hot Snowman sounded more fun, like they were leaning into how ridiculous it was.
Skinny culture isn't "back" because there are some fit humans on film. I'm a 45 year-old husky dude that wishes I was in better shape for my beautiful wife, but we can't just cast "full-figured", queer people of colour for everything. Inclusion is important, but inclusivity includes everyone
Yeah but he's also the sort of build that makes you wonder if a guy is on steroids. While it often goes with eating disorder type issues, there's the extra dimension of association with aggression, and an aesthetic reaction against gender equality. You did not get those with 90s "skinny" guys.

Smh my head...
We live in a society
Honestly a missed opportunity for a dad bod OR another Winter Horror movie
A more realistic Holiday movie is
Nutcrackers on Hulu
Although it’s not really a Holiday Movie
But it is .

My wife kept complaining he wasn't good-looking and that he wrinkled his forehead too much.
I pointed out that he had no fat, so any expression caused wrinkles.
I never would have guessed they were even related. What the hell.

On the flip side, to openly and blatantly ignore that being overweight can have health risks is just irresponsible.
You can teach people about obesity and risk factors like diabetes and heart disease without pointing and laughing....
- From all dad bods everywhere…
I guess Frosty meets sleeping beauty is a thing
Not for nothing, this is a better cast than most of these sorts of movies, and Craig Robinson is still easily the most charismatic person on that set.
Also, this is the equivalent of crying about black elves, etc.
