i put games on my wishlist that seem maybe interesting but not interesting enough to buy them and then whenever there's a steam sale i click 'see games from your wishlist' and get annoyed that none of them are interesting to me. because im stupid

My problem is that I somehow think somebody else will see the games on my wishlist and buy them for me so I don’t have to waste money on them. But nobody ever will. That’s why I feel stupid.
I kinda do the same thing, and whenever anyone wants to buy me a game as a present, they go look at my wishlist and always go "holy shit you've got way too many games in your wishlist".
Gamer, you say? May I suggest the free-as-in-beer https://bit.ly/free-spacewar and the costs-like-two-PBRs https://bit.ly/artemis-eastern-front which both have very modest hardware requirements - AMD Ryzen 3 3200U w/ Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx @ 2.6 GHz & 32 GB RAM runs both very well.
Yea me too. always makes me think of jack black and john cusack doing “I haven’t seen evil dead 2 YET” in high fidelity. Like if you were going to see it you’d have seen it by now yknow.
i wish Steam let me make multiple lists with the same functionality as a wishlist. let me put keep track of games that looked kinda interesting, but also keep it away from my list of games i’m actually sure i want
Same man. I put everything on my wishlist for steam sales and then during the actual sale, I just browse the front page for hours without even touching my wishlist
This is similar to what I do - "Huh, that looks vaguely interesting." -wishlisted- Then, game goes on sale for ~$10 or less, and we play a little game called "Buy it now or forget it forever".
Is this game worth it at a 90% discount? Nah, I'd rather keep it in my aspirational collection and fantasize about having so much fun playing it until the end of time.
I just completely cleared my wishlist of all the games I used to be interested in but then lost interest in. Most of them, surprisingly, were from 2016.
Really the only one that's in there that I'll buy is Cyberpunk. But they're not getting a cent over $21 for it. On principle.
My dilemma is seeing a couple of games on sale that are on my eventual TBP list, but I have to decide if I'm likely to even get to them before an equivalent or even better sale a year later.
Yup! Had Bully on my wishlist for years and always thought "Ah I'll get round to it one day". Bought it 4 years ago and still haven't played it. Because I'm stupid.

And then I cry because every game on both is TBA or EA.
Saving up for a better pc for that one!
Have a bunch of games on mine that were interesting enough that I want them to succeed but have no interest in playing, so I just wishlist.
