Extraordinarily good, lots going on, central characters that created a golden thread, delightfully violent, interesting & attention holding.
A rarity in film adaptation today.
Yes, suspend belief, but escapism is your reward.
Not as deeply flawed as the current Hollywood comic book obsession.

I watched it this weekend and enjoyed it too. The balance of romance and horror was an odd tone, but I mean that in a good way - it wasn't generic and didn't fit a formula. Which was refreshing. I went into the movie without knowing anything about it and I think that's the best way.

One of the best streaming exclusive flicks I’ve seen in a long time IMO. If they made a sequel I wouldn’t be mad about it. It would be tricky to justify one, though, story wise. I have some ideas, but what do I know 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, we just watched it and it was better than we anticipated due to reviews. Got a little too "monster movie" for me towards the end, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Would recommend.

I thought (at first) a bit of the last 20 mins went a bit off the rails. A little less tight, a bit much on macGuffins. And as soon as it was over, I reconsidered. It was fun! It was much better than I expected. It was beautiful. Watch! Enjoy!
