My heart breaks for all victims and their friends and families of last nights horrific air crash,,, it’s a time of grieving and strength and love,,, not politics. May God bless everyone with strength to get thru this tough time together.

The leader of the free world placed blame before the water settled. Without a single word for the lost people or the first responders in freezing water.
That's politics st its worst.
Y’all, his feelings and his emotions are valid just like your feelings an emotions are valid. We are ALL in this together. Let’s do better , let’s be better, let’s lift each other up and give each other space when needed. Just because he’s famous doesn’t mean he doesn’t have feelings. Cmon now
He blamed DEI....that means he blamed women, black, brown, gay, and disabled people. He also blamed 2 former presidents. He didn't blame himself though for gutting air safety. It IS political.
It happened because of Politics, it wasn't in any way unrelated to politics.
We may not like to "Do" the politics, put the politics is most defiantly going to "Do" Us.
That’s a nice thought, but it’s the same statement the GOP puts forth after kids are gunned down in schools. We don’t have to work in government to understand that our government should be working for us and that every moment of every day is the right time to debate issues regarding public safety.
Politics are how individuals and groups delegate sovereignty and outline the rules of engagement in all interactions the only time without politics is when you’re alone.
Were you always so kind, thoughtful and well spoken and I’m just finding out now? Thank you for this perfect statement about this tragedy. My apologies for being so late to appreciate you.
When POTUS comes out with a statement that DEI is the cause, with no evidence, only male voices on a tape, it is already political, and disgusting. Agree, the families should be all that matter right now
When politics even *possibly* caused the tragedy, it is indeed a time for politics. And it's looking like it's more than possibly. Strength and love do not power air traffic control. Solid leadership and staffing, do.
Every death during this regime must be politicized. You’re dealing with psychopaths and narcissists who enjoy seeing others suffer. Would Jesus pray for them? Yes, and I’m not a fucking saint or savior. I’m an American who wants her country back. This is just the start. More tragedy in the forecast.
The F in FAA is Federal. Its been political since Regan fired striking air traffic control workers. Downsizing work forces and upsizing their workload is not a recipe for safe air travel.
So true. Those who are focused on which political figure is directly responsible are completely missing the point right now. There will be time enough for that later. For now, there is only time for sadness and reflection.
This crash was a direct result of political moves by a moronic president and his band of idiots. I absolutely grieve those who lost their lives but I also think those responsible should be held accountable.
Guys he's saying its not politics becausde a post mourning the dead and paying respects to families should stay free of the toxicity of the world around us. Flav simply wanted to extent his condolences and what you guys are doing is really tasteless under a condolence post.
No one gets to say "no politics" about this. This is 100% the fault of the orange nazi. He spent his first 10 days in power sabotaging the FAA in every possible way, firing the head, 100 senior officials, and placing a hiring freeze on them.
Well politics probably has a lot to do with why they are dead so yes it is politics. Actually it is worse it is social bias in politics which should not be in politics which should not be what drives competent government that helps keep people safe.
This is a heart felt much needed message that is said 1000 times better than the current administration has said … they are playing the blame game and giving no encouraging words or condolences.
Thank you FF.
Heart still breaks for > 1 million lives lost to COVID, following TRump's recklessness, chaos.
~2yrs after disassembling WH Pandemic Response team (2018), we faced worst public health crisis in US history, costing $7+ Trill public bailout of collapsed economy.
Dude, I mean no disrespect when I say this. You are not the one I expected to sound like the leader of a nation during a tragedy. Also, I did not expect the leader to sound like an uneducated and moderately successful gangster.
Agree, but sadly, Trump has already made it political, so the Democrats need to stand up and put him in his place. He's a pathetic coward who's using this tragedy to advance is God-forsaken anti-DEI crusade. And every major media outlet is running with his DEI headline. It's beyond belief.
I admire the noble tenor of your post but those who were responsible for preventing tragedies like last night's crash failed egregiously and then tried to, absurdly, deflect that failure onto minority public servants when inept management was clearly at fault. This is political sir.
You know this to me true. We know this to be true.
It in unfathomable for some to believe anyone can get ahead without being a white male. Why is that? Because they only see values in those who are like them. They only promote people like them. They are bigots.
All due respect, because I think your heart is in the right place. But understand that calling it out is absolutely well timed and NECESSARY. HE is directly responsible through his unwarranted cuts and firings. It isn’t politics. It’s life and sadly, death.
This IS the time to take sides.
The best way to honor these victims is to tell the truth about why they died. It’s not political, it’s the truth. Trump, Musk & the GOP are responsible for this outcome. #cutsforbillionaires
My brother in Christ he said it’s black folks fault. He’s blaming DEI for this. He views every single person with nonwhite skin as inferior by default.
If you think that doesn’t qualify as politics you are absolutely cooked.
You know something I get the feeling that there might be a quite a few "ridiculous" Black ppl who rose to media prominence in the 80s and 90s who aren't the 2-dimensional caricatures of buffoonery that TV and radio in West Texas made them out to be, back in the day 🤷♂️
Sooooo, you are saying you judge people based upon their appearance and not the content of their character? You are part of the problem. He expressed a heartfelt statement about the loss of human life, and you ridicule him for what he wears. You are the asshole.
Come on Flav. You know better. Those people lost their lives because of politics. We can grieve and call that out at the same time. We must walk and chew gum at the same time…or more people will be lose their lives.
Next time close the replies. If they want to say something they can create their own post. Too many have forgotten how to be kind. Thank you for expressing your sadness for the victims and their friends and families.
Exactly! Honestly, the more aggressive Dems are is how we take voters from the Reds. They don’t want soft talk. They can’t relate to it at all, it’s cringey. On principles they agree with Blue but the woo, woo niceties, can’t take a joke, “don’t say that” PC is where we lose men and women.
Trump and is moronic corrupt team are going to kill many more hundreds, thousands, millions, because softcocks like you don't stand up to them. YOU have the audience. Fucking do something, wanker.
This is what Trump 2 looks like: gutted regulatory agencies that put America at risk. Travel and infrastructure, the power grid, supply chain, agriculture and public health. The basic needs of the people all endangered out of sheer stupidity and rampant greed.
Jan 20th: FAA Director was fired.
Jan 21st: Air traffic controller hiring frozen.
Jan 22nd: Aviation Security Advisory Committee disbanded.
Jan 28th: Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees.
Jan 29th: First American midair collision in 16 years.
Well said a better statement than the "official" one. Your heart is in the right place. But when safety standards are cut. Or when the president starts blaming disabled people and DEI which basically means anyone not a straight white and able bodied man. I'd say it's political.
Disagree. His culture war means he cut 100 FAA jobs. The head of the FAA had to step down because he fined Musk over safety. His politics caused this tragedy.
While we focus on the skaters they are blessed to be part of a close knit community. Those without support groups are going to need others to make sure they are comforted.
Later in the day as he was signing yet more "I'm The Daddy" E.O.s that aren't real laws, a reporter asked if he intended to visit the crash site. His response was, "What's the site? The water? What, you want me to go swimming?"
Oh, I was watching when he said it--every disgusting, unintelligent word and slur you could imagine. He also threw in a "bullshit" (live presser, so networks had no time to edit) when disrespecting Secretary Pete's work during the last administration. He's quite the inhumane ogre.
While I agree with your sentiments, FFOTUS already made it political, even after he fired anyone responsible for making the skies safe in his first week in office.
May the families get some relief and strength from their loved ones' memories and the nation's love and support!
Just like a mass shooting is political, this is political. You are absolutely right that it's time to grieve, but it's always time to ask ourselves how to be better. ❤️
Trump is politicizing this tragedy and blaming Biden and Obama. This is on Trump and you NEED to use your platform to call him out and encourage people to vote Blue. This military helicopter has not crashed into a commercial airline in over 50!years
Excuse me, it's ABSOLUTELY a time for politics when President Drumpf (call him by his real name) gutted the system that might have prevented the tragedy.
God bless the victims and their families but their deaths WERE political and Trump deserves to have this hung around his neck. This is a result of HIS decisions.
sorry but politics is interested in you even if you don’t want to think about it. everything about airline safety is decided by politics, including staffing, training, procedures, design of airports, flight routes in air space, sleep deprivation/working hours and more
THANK YOU!! I went rounds with Elaine Chow (turtle’s wife) the last go round, during advocacy and work rules standards. Aviation is exploitative of its flight crews.
Especially when there was only one traffic controller handling planes and helicopters when there are normally two. Slashing and gutting safety at a time when there was already a traffic controller shortage is DANGEROUS. He's trying to gut our safety agencies when we should be beefing them up.
Unfortunately this is political! Trump has blood on his hands. Always so convenient to say let’s not make it political and then it conveniently is forgotten.
It’s important to approach such incidents with caution and await the results of thorough investigations before assigning blame. Premature conclusions, especially those without evidence, can mislead the public and unfairly target specific groups and policies.
Here’s the thing @flavorflav.bsky.social, if Felon47 doesn’t fix this immediately, this will happen again. This was not a one off, this is the direct result of trump and musk firing FAA personnel. This is 100% political. If I were family of those who died, I’d sue trump and musk personally.
These deaths are political. Signed, retired flight attendant who understands the value of the incredible engineering feats of redundancy that make aviation safe. A careless pilot ruined that last night for 60 innocent people. Imma make it fucking political. These are my dead former colleagues.
There were four pilots. One PIC and one 1st Officer. Two in the heli. Two in the aircraft. There are always only two. There was a third passenger in the heli.
🚁. The ✈️ was on final descent. The heaviest load time for pilots. Also, zero manueverability. TCAS warnings do not work below 1000’.
🚁 🧑✈️ was 200’ above his max for that airspace. And asked twice to confirm sight of ✈️ which is his responsibility as 🚁 is supposed to yield to the plane.
💯. We don’t want it to be. We didn’t ask it to be. Trump created it. Ge should be held responsible. And I am absolutely sure you share in the heartbreak of these lost lives and the families they leave behind to endlessly grieve.
Losing Flight crew is the worst. And it was a regional carrier. Those poor kids weren’t making shit for money. Don’t even get me started on the labor rules and mandatory rest rules. Too many holes in the cheese. I’m devastated.
Trump f’d up. This is his fault. It was directly under his control. He made the decisions and cut the staff that lead to it. There’s nothing “political” about that. Being sad for the people that lost their lives and being upset about the cause can happen at the same time.
Aviation is remarkably safe. Humans are not. The reason we have redundancies or to keep it safe. Removing people from a process built with intentional redundancies in the name of economizing is how people die in aviation. It is 100 political. Fuck off. This was my job as a young person.
It's akin to DT cutting the Pandemic Team from the Nat'l Security Council in 2018, saying, "we don't need them now so why pay for them; we'll just bring back a team if we need them." Cue Cov19+no NSC Management in place ready to go, thus the ensuing chaos. I'm sorry for the loss of your colleagues.
I am complete agreement with you. I probably didn’t write that clearly. I think that holding someone accountable (Trump) for making terrible decisions is not political. He made decisions that lead to the loss of 67 innocent lives. He needs to answer for it. Nothing political about that in my view.
A politician makes a decision to cut safety staff (and in his last maladministration froze all hiring of air traffic controllers), and you say it's not political?
What is this, Humpty Dumpty? Words like "politician" mean what I want them to mean, no more and no less? The rules are written in blood.
We are on the same side! My point is that if someone does something that directly leads to people dying, that is beyond politics. It’s malfeasance. Trump made decisions that directly lead to people dying. That’s it. It’s not political it’s a fact. There’s no political ideology to argue. It’s wrong!
And understaffed ATC in the USA? That’s some fucking bs! One of the most stressful jobs of ANY with hundreds and thousands of lives on the line EVERY shift and they understaff them like a greedy business owner?! ATC should make Senator benefits and work 5-6 hour shifts PERIOD.
Yes. My nephew is an ATC in Florida. The job requires patience, efficiency, calm in the face of stress. I feel awful for the young controller who tried to do his job with duct tape and pliers the best he could.
What would you like to know? I was a safety trainer while I was a flight attendant. Washed out of military aviation bc I’m blind. Married to a pilot (didn’t meet working). This is our lane.
How? The fuckers in leadership have kneecapped the NTSB, FAA, DOT. The report will be useless. We have the material information that can lead to a hypothesis w-a HIgH level of certainty. This is our lane. The report won’t be the paper it’s written on.
Apparently one air traffic controller was covering both airplane and helicopter traffic when the job is normally done by two different people, can we please not blame the dead pilot before all the facts come out.
The heli pilot did not respond to TWO calls from ATC. The aircraft is in final phase of flight w/critical steps to land. Virtually mechanically UNmaneuverable. Catastrophic unplanned EMC landing. Truth SUCKS sometimes. But it’s how the living learn & NEVER make that mistake again.
How on earth would a pilot at critical phase of flight with the HiGHEST workload 400 feet above ground level be expected to respond to that!?! Heli MORE maneuverable than airplane. Also heli was 200’ above airport max.
The point is the heli wasn’t supposed to be where they were. The aircraft in final phase may have acknowledged they had the heli in view but there is no time for EMC maneuvers in critical phase of flight. The plane couldn’t do a thing but maintain a line for landing
🚁 was asked 2x if he saw the ✈️ , & directed to take action, was 200’ over max. ✈️ had right of way on final critical phase of flight. Truth hurts but it’s how the living make changes so it never happens again. This was a human failure of crew resource management.
Are you trying to say we shouldn't be holding current leadership accountable? When stupid policy decisions cause tragedies like thos one, it is the fucking PERFECT time for politics.
These deaths are political. The actions of an incompetent and malicious potus are in part what lead to last night's disaster.
The fact that he had the audacity to blame Obama and Biden and worst of all...the big bad boogeyman "DEI" today was beyond the pale.
My heart goes out to the victims.
Everyone’s really touchy-on edge. Ppl have PTSD& it’s only been about 10 days since crazy lunatic started w his triggering hate behavior. Everyone’s so used to media’s false equivalence-they couldn’t hear the peace in your message. Don’t take it personal. We all need more peace love & understanding.
I hope one day we all come to see 'politics' as the very intertwining of grieving, strength, love... building up this world together. Currently we only see greed, money, grifting.
Our policies, daily lives, tragedies, are all greatly shaped by politics, so there is NEVER a bad day to get political🫶
Nah. We aren’t doing the “not time for politics” thing.
If something happens to me or mine bc of faulty policies, you damned well better be shouting politics from the rooftops.

The president manslaughtered 64 people.
Thank you FF.

He called it hoax b/4 blaming Fauci

Silence is complicity.

Please CHOKE on your "Kumbaya" idea of "grieving ... and love", that does not WORK at ALL with the Trump Administration.
But hey! FAFO! 😖
It just made me think about how I've thought about people like flav in my life, and why
They knew their firings and employee cuts caused this disaster and then they came out today and blamed minorities and women.
FAA is saying The traffic control tower was deliberately understaffed last night. With one person doing two separate jobs.
It's been one week and these ignorant fascist know nothings have already killed 64 of us.
Doubly so when the president uses racism to scapegoat innocent people.
Jan 21st: Air traffic controller hiring frozen.

Hideous ogre.
We will never solve problems if we do not look at the cause of the problem honestly.
May the families get some relief and strength from their loved ones' memories and the nation's love and support!
And we all American,,, we all lost
Get real my dude.
POP OFF KING!
want to do better? we need to hold the people who did this accountable.
Go get fucked dumb ass.
💔💔💔💔💔
They’re basically trying to rebuild and restore a family affected by the LA fires in Pasadena. Take a look here: https://gofund.me/ebaccd1e
Too many scammers.
It's a time to hold orange motherfuckers accountable.
He’s awesome - as is @chuckdpe.bsky.social!
Thank you.
So senseless to lose all these people- all loved ones, family and friends to someone.
