Don't hate me but I've started a (free) substack. A sort of political journal to try and make some sense of it all. So here is the first one- why Farage may yet emerge from this humiliating day in a stronger position than before.

It will be interesting to see how the Reformists rally around their wounded leader. They will, won't they?....
It will be interesting to see which side of the Musk/Farage tiff Trump swings behind, or if he just leaves them to it.
Also, regarding the Farage 'ceiling', I do wonder whether he's already reached it? (Reform's vote share in 2024 was barely higher than UKIP's in 2015.)
How many more disaffected Tory/Labour voters, who didn't vote Reform last year, can he realistically scoop up in four years?
💯 This. Tories tried to align only to crash and burn. Starmer has done the same with his Labour. (Labour Right). They're heading the same way.

Too much hate to be sustainable.
If Farage truly is prepared to die on this hill, then hen the Tories 💯 have a problem
I don’t know if is just me, but I found the white on blue quite hard to read after a long time. Hurt my eyes a bit
If in the event of Farage getting weaker, Musk would look elsewhere to invest his money!
Looking forward to more great reads
I'm very grateful to be in a position where I can reject both revolting options.
The lack of integrity is beyond shameful.
Concocted?
Local government by-elections tend to support these findings.
We cannot simply dismiss findings we don't like.
And if a recently-promoted side was in a Champions League spot after four games, I'd expect plenty of media attention given them too.
The GB electoral system does distort the percentages of votes cast for each party into results which do not reflect the voting.
He then nominated a range of incompetent, inexperienced jokes to ministerial positions resulting in cabinet paralysis.
Is Musk really so technologically gifted? There are often posts from technology people suggesting he's just good at finding start-ups, putting in money, and claiming the glory (and money) when they're successful.
