Great stuff! I've been running a couple of 2nd Edition campaigns since the late 90's as well... though I have products from every edition except 2024 5e. Here's MOST of my 2e stuff (including Chronomancer, it- along with Shaman- are there between the player's and DM's handbooks).

I think AD&D was my first time playing a TTRPG too, way back in Jr High school, but I'm not certain because I didn't have any of the books. I love your collection though. And I love that you play D&D. I play Pathfinder 2e and D&D 4e, and a bit of Starfinder 1e and some Delta Green.

Love to see the variety here Chuck. The visual language on them is interesting to look at, and I've always enjoyed the different looks. Like the 3.5 core books being eldritch looking tomes. The handbooks there are along the lines of old Hoyle rules books, and that's cool too.

I *love* introducing people to ADnD. It's such a different game than 5e, and the risk makes people more connected to their characters and choices.

I ran a game last year with 4 people, and it was a TPK against 3 sexy Kobolds. All of them said "Let's do it again"

reason there are doubles of some is for a few reasons 1 i like to collect them 2 they are different printings you can tell by logo on front and 3 it is nice if players are using the same class to let them both have one for reference.

also interesting is the CHRONOMANCER handbook which is complex to explain legality of i do not think it is entirely CANON but it is an extra magic school of time magic that was briefly tried. if players do something VERY COOL i like to reward with rare spells from that book

I was the developer on that one. Original manuscript was by Loren Coleman for Mayfair Games' Role Aids line, which TSR bought to settle a lawsuit between the two companies. I'd been editing D&D books, but it needed a good deal of work to bring it in line with TSR's standards.

That wasn't Loren's fault, just the disparities between the two companies. It was his first published work, I believe, and my first one as a TSR developer. It make for a great stepping stone, and they started hiring me to write/design supplements after that.

Chronomancer reportedly started life at Mayfair, as a part of their Role Aids line, but was absorbed into TSR when Mayfair sold the whole line to them. I think it's fantastic!
