so on a sliding scale we have paladin low magic usage but high physical, then we have cleric that can do more magic but not as good physical, and finally you have priest which is all magic is that it?
Doing many classes isnt a problem if the mechanics are neat enough. When you have mechanics like with 52 separate skills or subsystems, then there is a problem. 8V
Some of these feel like they’d have a lot of overlap or would just feel similar to one another. Like Fighter and Warrior, Priest and Cleric, or Engineer and Artificer.
You need a programmer to make a website where the main diamond, banner, and font are set and you just have to type in the class name, upload an image for the symbol, and choose a color to dye the whole thing.
Can we get an Innkeeper in acid green with the symbol of a frying pan on a pillow? Or maybe a chef in white with a whisk crossed over a butcher's blade? And what about a Shepherd in grass green with a crook and either some shears or a dog head.
more. MORE. here let me help im super good at this trust me. classes: bugologist. word....smith. Coolguy. Big. batter. pitcher. third base. runningback. baseline. Sportsballperson. HUGE bug. linguist, which is different from wordsmith. hot mama. kojima names makerupper.
At this point you need to include a few secret meme class icons drawn in this style. Stuff like "CHEESEMANCER", or "WACKY ARM-FLAILING INFLATABLE TUBE MAN", or "GUY WHO'S JUST KINDA THERE"
I love this list and their unique icons! I'm also so Pokemon brainrotted, I'm imagining a game of collecting various "heroes" that are single or dual-typed classes.
I looked at some of these and went “What’s the difference between these two” before I immediately stopped and realized how they could be massively different XD
Woohoo! Spellsword made it! That makes me happy to see a melee-focused caster of some kind. Now; do I choose a class that I think fits myself as a person best, the class I like the most, a class I enjoy playing in games, or the class that fits my online habits and mannerisms?
Soulweaver: a magic user who harnesses Elemental Spirits and a SpiritLoom gauntlet to create and modify weapons with elemental affinity, binding enemies with elemental spirit thread and finally ability to repair damage to living and inanimate being's souls
This is a LOT of Classes as is! Considering they're for those little sub profiles for alerts, I assume users will be able to designate what class they are?
Now I kinda wanna check how many of these, at least by name, is possible to make with a Level 2 Pathfinder 2e character with the Free Archetype optional rule.
I love those! Can I use them for my campaign with my friends using FoundryVTT or would to be too presumptuous? That way my players would be able to self identify their classes (we use #OpenLegendRPG)
Oo Oo, I got one! Lithomancer! It's a term from Magic the Gathering for someone that specializes in rock magic! Similar to something like Toph from Avatar if that helps.
I mean, as long as they all play different enough to justify being distinct classes? We don't want two separate classes that end up just being wizard and wizard(spooky).
i kinda wish it was possible to select hunter but then have it prompt the option of having it say "huntress", since hunter typically implies masculine to my stupid trans girl brain and then I get upset (that's what I'd probably use cuz i have a bow hyperfixation)
group toguether classes that have similar abilities and equipment and if you feel like it. make some of them part of an branch of classes with an common theme if you wish to stay organized or not get lost. im not asking to reduce their abilities, just to group them...
In a more open ended system you don't even need to go that far. Just have a general "Duelist" class (like for Swashbuckler and the like) and let cosmetics and feats fill in the flavor from there.
Not as clean for new players...but that's where you have prebuilt characters. :)
Skill trees/subclasses my guy. Many of these fall under similar archetypes. Make the archetype your main focus, and you can drill down from there. You can still keep all the cool symbols that way.

Chef/Cook - Life Bard, but with food
More ideas later maybe
Maybe a trap specialist? Snarecrafter, Trap Master, k o b o l d
anyway this is sick as hell
Where is the class based around channeling the power of different types of dragons.
Think Udyr from LoL + Evoker from WoW
Can call it "Dragon Soul"
Also, is it possible to multiclass?
Also, what is this? 😲
What game is this?
Seriously though this is really lovely stuff :) it’s very pleasing to look at them all lined up
JoCat:
Phalanx/Cataphract - Heavy Armor, Big Spear, MASSIVE tower shield.
Centurion - Longsword, Buckler, incredibly fancy helmet, army of tiny schmucks.
(Short thread to follow)
Dragon Master- Rapier and dragonbone helm; raises and commands Dragons.
Valkyrie - Spear and Buckler, emphasis on speed and lightning.
From FFX-2, Mascot: Put on a weird costume and buff the lads
Wyvern Rider: Weapon of cboice, but importantly the wyvern itself as their mount.
Pegasus Knight: The feathery counterpart of the above.
Troubadour: Stick a bard on a horse and give them the power of god.
Hero (Man-at-Arms) - Rapidly swaps between a whole arsenal of weaponry
Javelineer - The thrown-weapon master that I've never seen acknowledged.
Prophet - Orb-user, knower of the future, master of prevention.
Sage - Storyteller, knower of the past, master of guidance.
Occultist - Skull focus; practitoner of eldritch rituals.
Death Knight / Dark Knight / Black Knight / Sepulcher - The anti-paladin, often presented as two-handed specialists with magic enhancements.
Shaman / Totemic - Spirit guides who commune with the elemental forces nature.
Lord - A leader who issues commands to enhance their allies
(brief description is fine)
Maybe in a nice lavender color?
(My mind really wants to mentally rearrange these jobs into Physocal and Magical archetypes)
Because if not you need one more
53th class: Cutie pie :3
all jokes aside this is amazing and i have a feeling its gonna be really REALLY balanced with all these classes right? :D
RIGHT!? O_O
You're a nerd and we love you for it.
Neat~!
(just in case this comes across wrong, these look great. I am not throwing shade at you-)
Cabalist, Sigilian, Quack, Myceliacite, Technophant, Parautilitarian, Wickeren, Nachamen, Vegetarionaire, Anticyclonepaen, Pickler, Trombovado, Unguentician, Kareknight, Kakistodor.
.... Chronomancer? 🥺 :3
dw, just being silly!
This is a LOT of Classes as is! Considering they're for those little sub profiles for alerts, I assume users will be able to designate what class they are?
Or is it randomly assigned?
Gotta pump those numbers up my man :v
Then suddenly you are making little icons for dwarves elves orcs kenku spriggan naiads dryads and mobileads. Nobody has seen you for years.
Or do you have a new class?
(Behold my shifty photo edit!!!!)
Or maybe just like, Storm Mage?
DAoC Reaver has been my favorite class ever and I never see anything like it ever :(
Grenadier
Runesmith
Outrider
Earthshaker (something between barbarian and geomancer)
Trapper
Also thank you for splitting pugilist and monk.
But also please don't do that, we prefer our Jo NOT dead from overwork.
At this point the real problem is making sure that none of them steps too much in the identity of the other, nor is an upgrade to any of them.
/s :P
Theres just infinite possibilities, you must draw a line or become insane! v8

Reaver? Runecaster? Jester? Gambler? Cataphract?
