Yes. Soulless, stolen pastiche of real art, and increasingly convincing. Soon, it will be impossible to distinguish, and the ramifications of that are pretty horrifying
I mean it literally. Looking at the AI art usually makes me feel a bit ill because of something about how it looks.
It's the primary reason why I hate that its proliferating.
I'm not even sure if it's AI art in general or a bunch of particular styles of it.
Sounds like it to me. Did she mean to say that? I can't say. Is that what was said? To me, yeah.
I realize it was an attempt at a joke, but it falls into a "human life begins at conception" fallacy, and there are enough other things to make jokes about that it's not necessary or useful.
Am I reading too much into it? Maybe. But I didn't go out of my way to reach that interpretation. Saying "you" began at conception is a dangerous way of thinking, even if it's just for a joke.
yes!… had to go through seminars concerning reproductive medicine… 60% chance of live birth in the US when IVF is involved… they did not supply attempt numbers…

I've taught biology for over 30 years, and still remember that moment of wonder when I realised that the machinery which makes human cells work originates from the machinery passed down from the mother.
The patriarchy is bullshit on a cellular level. :-)
And that for thousands of years men blamed women for the sex of the child as well as whether the child lived, it's attractiveness, health and any other thing.
But took credit for anything that they valued in the child.

By default, we are all females.
but keep pushing the humanhood begins at conception bullshit. I'm sure that line of thinking isn't causing tons of damage as we speak or anything.
