Yes. But back on the dead bird site I had a thread of posts I copied links of posts I referred back to so I already had the habit before and may not be indicative of the norm for those that do use the pin.
Yep. Regularly. And sometimes I will delete a pin once I have downloaded a resource or shared it with a colleague. I have my pins pinned to my feed too.
I have, yeah. (Until we can bookmark threads, it’s been helpful for finding resources, collections of info, etc.). I’d still really prefer bookmarks so I don’t clog the OP’s mentions, though.
I do. Usually I bookmark either resources I want to be able to reference later and/or share with others, or threads that connect to some big picture thoughts that I want to try to write up later
Always. I use them when I'm at work so I don't lose the post/content. Then, I read them after work but before putting down the device and settling in for the evening.
I'm about 50:50. I did much more before my feed got more active and the world more chaotic. If I haven't gotten to it with a reasonable time, I delete the pin.
i muted the pin and it made my notifications experience nicer (just have to resist the curiosity to click 'show muted posts' which are 99.9% of the time a red pin)
I'm ADHD. I have literally thousands of things that I have saved across dozens of platforms, but it is generally out of sight, out of mind, at least 99% of the time.
what I’m trying to do now is summarize why I pinned it as a note to myself for even more ease of finding the post in the future. I probably come off a little unhinged, but hopefully unhinged in a harmless way 😆
The pins feed is essential for me because I’m always thinking “I know I saw that post somewhere” and if I’ve pinned it I can find it again! Saves me so much time accessing valuable resources/interesting discussions. ☺️
I do! All the time! In fact, I went to a red pin the other day to refind the pamphlet you just put out about a million different things so I could send that link to a friend!
Reply to a post with the 📌 and add the pin tab to your timeline to view your "pinned" posts at any time. Basically a workaround since bluesky doesn't have bookmarks
@jonathanstegall.bsky.social showed me how to make a feed of my own likes and I go back to that often to get things I’ve saved but that’s not red pins lol
I don't pin things very often, only those I really don't want to lose, but (knowing myself) I also made sure to use the pins feed and put it where I'll see it. When I'm done, I delete the pin post.

I don't want to talk about it.
Use this feed, then reply to any post you want to save with the emoji

It's not a great method, but it's the method I've chosen for now
Might change my mind in another 200 posts
As for your doomscrolling, at least you've admitted you have a problem! 🥴😄
