Point of order, the chair should be wearing a green tie instead of orange.
Not well taken.
I appeal the ruling of the chair.
Parliamentary inquiry, is it in order to divide the question into removing the green tie and donning an orange one?
No, out of order.
I appeal that ruling, too.

Senators are spitting in our faces and telling us we're sitting by a beautiful Hawaiian waterfall.
They have lots of tools at their disposal, is the point.
They could grind the Senate to a halt in two steps.
The chair will interrupt the moment he thinks you're using it to your advantage.
Don't hurry, drag it out, have them read back the record.
The Senate runs on gentlemen's agreements and you could drag it to a halt in just 2 steps:
Deny unanimous consent
Call for a quorum
There are much more than just these two tools, as well.
They would need a rule change to stop it, and I don't think they'd succeed. Even if they did, it would mean convening the rules committee and passing something,
which, you know, can also be obstructed using the same rules.
i'm going to have to run for senate, aren't i?
P-T: That's out of order, no one has left since the last quorum call.
S1: I object anyway.
P-T: If you continue to object, I will have the Sergant-at-arms remove you.
S1: No need, I'll go.
Senator 2: Objection, we lack quorum now.
Pro-Tem: The yays have it.
Me: Point of order
Pro-Tem: WHATTTTT
Me: while the previous question was properly counted and considered, I move that the question is nevertheless unconstitutional
Pro-Tem: IT IS NOT SIT DOWN
Me: I challenge the ruling of the chair
Pro-Tem: ARRRRGHG
Just a hunch.
Chair, is it written down that a dog cannot play basketball?
And while a lot of the GOP members are too far gone, enough not might be to break them.
Pelosi was very good at the in house. Forcing the gop to herd all their members in line or they would lose the vote.
[jk. Nobody wants to sit through that!]
Every day that is delayed is a day closer to the courts issuing injunctions and people mobilizing
Cool, more votes. Keep 'em coming, baby, I can keep pushing this button as many times as you want.
Dear Democrats,
Republicans are using unfair and punishing fines to try and suppress the truth, keep us from representing you, and steal our government. You’re $5 or more can help us fight this tyranny!
These proceedings are lgly already a farce. Using available tools to make the farce more apparent to people seems like a good choice at this point. Really, you can reach that before breaking the rules.
At some point, it's not hypocritical but realizing that the entire situation & system are radically different and demand these steps.
I'd much rather Senate rules be broken & rewritten than the Constitution.
