Avian flu viruses do not normally make humans sick but human infections with avian flu viruses have occurred. People who have regular contact with poultry, cattle, or wild birds are most at risk.

I know that CA is one of the more proactive/transparent states as far as disease prevention is concerned, and I wonder if this is why we are finding so much H5N1 here.
Other states may not be as good at reporting.
I am sure he will make #StanfordUniversity proud.
