The first pizza I ever ate, in about 1975, was ham and pineapple, which was the most popular topping in Australia for many years. The way people make a fuss about it, you'd think it was a new idea. If you don't like it, don't eat it.
I still remember my first try, eating to be polite, reassuring myself:
Pizza? Good.
Pineapple? Good.
First bite: sweetness of the pineapple, combined and mingling with the saltiness of the ham and cheese...
Oh. My. God.
Team pineapple all the way. Also, pineapple grilled on an open flame. Pineapple salsa on my tacos. Dried pineapple in my trail mix. If it can be made, it should be made to include pineapple.
The most low brow thing I can imagine is hating the unrivaled deliciousness of pineapple, greasy cheese, and ham… I even put mandarin oranges on mine and it is delicious. Philistines…
I’m a Chicagoan. It is taken as gospel truth that there are certain things one does just not do: Ketchup never goes on a hot dog, and pineapple does not belong on pizza.
It’s the California Pizza Kitchen conundrum…just because it’s a flat dough with toppings, that doesn’t mean that it’s pizza.
When I was in Albuquerque NM, we ordered our pizza with Canadian bacon, green chili and pineapple.
The hotter the chili, the better.
Mmmmm now I'm getting hungry.
I just feel it's dumb to argue what people should and shouldn't like on their food. Good for y'all that you like Pineapple. I vow to never take it away from you.
I agree, it is silly arguing over food likes. I like pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple. Sometimes I go wild and add bell peppers and black olives to that. I am quite happy to return the favor and celebrate you having a pizza of your choice. 😁
Pineapple on pizza goes on top like a topping and works best with Canadian bacon. It's the salty, sweet, and savory combination. It seems to be a flavor either people love or loath
I don’t particularly like pizza. But I had some this week that was red and green peppers, red onion, chicken, pineapple and a sweet chili drizzle. It was so good!!
That pineapple on pizza thing years ago was a Trump admin psyop. Krebs launched it to prove how easy it is to manipulate people online through polarization.
I buy food for crews regularly. I often buy several pizzas and after years of doing this I’ve discovered the pizza with pineapple disappears first. Only a small percentage request it or admit their devotion but the majority seem to go for it.
The only thing I've ever had on a pizza that I can say without hesitation does not belong anywhere near a pizza is anchovies. They make *everything* taste like fishy salt, and not in a good way.
That sounds like it's less about pineapple being on pizza and more about pineapple itself ... Kinda like somebody that's lactose intolerant not liking cheese on pizza
I don't mind half and half pizzas, as long as one half doesn't have pineapple or anchovies on it. Nah he just loves the taste, it's more like a stomach issue for him then a taste issue. Mines the taste issue and texture.
it depends on how it's cooked
just like straight pineapple (either from the can or fresh fruit) isn't that good, but if you like cook out the moisture from it first or press it out then it improves the quality
either way i like it tho i just prefer my pineapple on pizza dry
Pineapple on dough with tomato sauce and cheese, fine. However, the moment any fruit, other than tomato hits the bread, it stops being pizza. Might be good, but it isn't pizza.
anything you wanna eat on a pizza can go on a pizza. i ain't touching any with frutti di mare, but i don't mind pineapple or even banana like swedish people do sometimes. it's personal taste
I don't get why this is so offensive to people when there are pizzas out there with nightmare concoctions like sweet potato and cream seafood (I am not joking).

then we can put pineapple on pizza

It’s an affront to the pious spirit of the circular delight of cheese, various meats and sauce on a bread pie…..
Pineapple belongs on a burger 🍔 with soy sauce and cheese , the sacred meal!
explain this....!!!

It needs to stay the hell offa mine.
I did get a post from someone taking it seriously. 😂
Literally no one gives a shit this much about pineapples on pizza.
I also like to add black olives and mushrooms with it, too.
Applesauce and pork roast, cranberries and turkey, ham and pineapple….
1. Pineapple on Pizza
2. Which way the toilet paper should roll
3. Candy corn (it's an abomination)
(I'm a pineapple on pizza girl. Let the world burn!!!😈)
2. Over not under
3. Never tried it, what exactly is it?? (Aussie here, it’s not a thing down under)
PINEAPPLE GOES GREAT ON PIZZA, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ADD JALAPEÑOS TO IT
Especially not those monstrosities with banana or American cheese.
Pineapple 🍍 belongs on Pizza 🍕
kiwi is diabolical
No pineapple 😡
*you are absolutely allowed to eat whatever you like!
**witch
Sardines on pizza are pretty good, though.
Rise, Sie Faolan.
Plus sides of half and half pizzas!
