This is indeed a great movie

still one of my all time favorite movies
the way I sell it, based on how someone feels about Tom Cruise: if you like Tom Cruise, he’s great it it
and if you hate Tom Cruise you get to watch him die dozens of times over
there’s something in there for everyone

I had liked Emily Blunt since “The Devil…” but it blew me away that she could do *this*, too. And Tom is fantastic.
Also-great script, casting and Tom Cruise doing his thing.
Still - solid film and a favorite of Cruise’s work (despite the ending).
And the way that all of the minor characters get used is a lot of fun. The violence isn't gory, more blunt force trauma (often almost cartoonish)
(I own it and have never made it thru the whole film. Lol)

MZS: "He was always likable, sometimes perfect in the right role, but age has deepened him by bringing out his vulnerability ... an existential terror in his eyes that's disturbing in a good way."
