OK but you can do all that while still running for the Dem nomination, nothing says you can't.
Are people really fighting that?
Voting as a score 0-10 is better - at worst strategically it's just 10-0 approval, still much better than present
1) makes it possible for third party candidates to run without being spoilers
2) Still tends to result in more moderate candidates winning
If it's AOC vs Manchin vs Vance, Manchin is probably way more peoples' second choices

60 years or radical left tradition, nonpartisan elections. One Green school board member.
In Oakland they were trying. And for the past decade and change it was in nonpartisan ranked choice elections. No spoiling no wrecking possible. And they still failed.
If you spend all your time saying that electoral politics aren't going to save you or that the election is rigged, then you're not giving your voters good reason to show up and vote.
