I believe that the climate change is largely caused by mankind. But the a brush fire is still anecdotal. And anecdotes should never be used as evidence of anything.
So sad that some cannot be bothered to understand the difference between it has always rained, stormed, been heatwaves and so on, and the massive amount of it all and with less gaps between the events.
They believe an ear will show no marks after broken glass or fragments from a bullet but don’t believe the build up of carbon dioxide and methane contribute to changes in the climate.

California has always burnt, it's all about managing the resources after they grow back. Rich people in LA didn't take any lessons from the previous fires and did nothing to manage it.

NM here. We've been running 7-9 degrees above normal almost all winter so far. My wife and I see the same evidence everyone else sees in almost all news sources. We just keep telling each other, "There's no such thing as climate change!" and feel better, somehow.
I worry that even after an event this devastating, too many people will just move on soon and 'forget' the precedent of this, continuing to ignore the risks of climate change — until the next "unprecedented" climate-induced disaster happens.
