Dropout is fantastic, and it seems to treat its employees right. People given room to breathe create fantastic art. The ethos seems to be "we're having a blast, and we invite you to watch and subscribe so we can keep the fun going" and that's what makes it such a unique streaming service today.

My mom was recently diagnosed with dementia and we used to love watching "Whose Line is it Anyway?" when I was a kid. When we watched Make Some Noise together today, she was lucid the whole time and not only told me she loved it, but she thought it was funnier than Whose Line.

The Roku app used to have the same problem and it’s since been fixed (mostly, there are occasionally issues if switching between desktop and Roku), so tbh they likely are working on it!

yeah, largely I don't care about the minor annoyance because 99 times out of 100, watching new Dropout content is something I do with loved ones & we gather around a TV to watch together without interrupting an episode, bc it is simply both too good to stop and too good not to share the experience
