This means that F35’s can be bricked by the US. So say Europe (NATO) decide to use them against Russia, Trump can brick them or just give Putin the keys.
However, I am with NATO going with the Gripon. The 6th gen FCAS & tempest could create a neural network with loaded Gripon. Enemy won’t know what hit them.
(What?! I did say it was completely irrelevant.)
Yada, yada.
TARIFFS! If you don’t buy what we want—BOOM—TARIFFS! The BEST tariffs, very powerful, some say the greatest ever. Other countries? VERY UNFAIR, very mean! But now? AMERICA WINS BIGLY!!! 🇺🇸🔥 #TariffMan
(On a personal note, please kill me. Dying of embarrassment is taking too long. Oy vey...)

not
suggest
it
to
BLOTUS.
He will do that...
Total disappointment in american values of freedom and liberty...
This completely devalues the entire US military products industry.
All we can do is keep putting pressure on him and his sycophants through protests, not spending money on American made products and voting against him.
If we are lucky, we will wake up one morning and he'll be dead.
Is your country next ?
We've become Russia West.
Britain also ought to be revising this.
Surely we can make our own damn good planes. Chamberlain built the world's larget fighter aircraft factory pre-WWII.
Also us took 4 billion and has not done the f35 deliveries and kicked them out anyway
They will pay for them whether they accept them or not. See what I did there?
It's time the U.S. started investing time & money in something other than war machines.
The RAF order should be cancelled, thougj.

This would have once included the US, when it was considered a reliable partner.
Oh well, when on a roll to tank the economy..
Let's get European jets instead. 🇨🇦 🇫🇷 🇸🇪 🇬🇧
What are places good for when you can't trust to use them in the moment of need.
Or maybe they do and are dismantling it all as directed like a traitor would.
Make every country but America great again
(and tesla)
Republicans are about to learn a real hard lesson on how soft power works
Because that industry is really good with the mass layoff switch-up
💅🏿
Another find out phase incoming..
If we’re not supporting allies, we can’t sell our shit…we already know those folk don’t DA
How on earth can any country buy anything like that and expect it to be all good? After all, we all know who the president is and what he is not.
Is this winning?
😉
Can the gripen handle the competition we'd face in combat? And what's the infrastructure waste cost of having to operate two distinct fighter fleets?
The best thing about the gripes it doesn’t need an airfield it can liftoff/land on any road and be refuelled and rearmed in 15min
So they are harder to target as you can deploy anywhere
They are extremely efficient in cold weather and would be ideal to protect Arctic!
Don’t support so-called ‘friends’ who screw you.

We need these sales. The 🍊💩’s irrationality is harmful beyond the economy.
"No longer a reliable partner":
parliamentarians take a closer look at the purchase of the US jets

Who would have thought that just 1 year ago.

Anyway, good luck.

These pods protect the F-16s from incoming threats.
US could do that to any buyer!

That problem can't be resolved any way other than generationally.
Now Canada
Trump’s anti-NATO turn could sink F-35 sales
Allies are questioning their reliance on U.S.-made weapons, experts and former defense officials warn. https://www.defenseone.com/business/2025/03/trumps-anti-nato-turn-could-sink-f-35-sales/403720/
Super expensive.
Can't trust the seller...
Saab
🤷🏻♀️ Why would you buy an F-35 if you have to scrap it upon arrival because it is no longer reliable and usable
You can better spend that money on a reliable and trustworthy fighter jet
#ElbowsUp
Trump will end all defense of Canada including NORAD.
Trump will greenlight construction of Russian submarine bases in the Canadian Arctic.
Not kidding.
F-35 killswith can be activated immediately for any country on the whimp of Trump and GOP.

and they are just getting started.
The US is no longer a trustworthy partner.
Logical outcome is that foreign entities should reduce their dependence on US cloud and tech giants.
The Defence Minister suggested that the 1st F-35s might be accepted and the remainder of the fleet would be made up of aircraft from European suppliers, such as the Swedish-built Saab Gripen, which finished 2nd in the competition.
There are reasons global geopolitics move very slowly: Turn your back on an ally; back an adversary; these are catastrophic moves.
Trump did both while waging war on our closest and biggest trade partners.

One of the main reasons Canada went with the F-35s is because Canada builds many of the parts, but right now having reliable tools to defend our sovereignty seems more important.
They already are using economic warfare to destroy our economy.
Why trust them with ANYTHING?
…?
Hometown protesters couldn’t keep them out, but our ex-allies will screw the project!
There are UK/Italy/Japan and France/Germany/Span projects already...
Whatever Canada buys, it has to be a program where Canada has no dependency or vulnerability...
Countries rethinking American weapons because American policy is unreliable.
Chinese weapons unproven, and trusting their gov't is a big gamble.
So, opportune time to be a European weapons maker, it seems.
