Even the cover art is awful.
And the crisp, corporate, 80s palette of these record covers betrays the cringe of the tracks therein (with the exception of C. Lauper, the dear).
But just don’t. Bless yr heart, but please do not play this.
And the hat too, and saxophones, just don’t.
i totally scored the "wham!" record at thrift shop around the corner about a month ago! loads of fun to listen to on a record player with my teens in the room.
the gen z cringe was ... much. 😅
I remember each of those being in the "cutout" bin. Meanwhile, Meijer near me now has LPs - for $34.99. When I worked in a record dept., single albums were $8.97 (approx 1984).
I loved Cyndi's "She's So Unusual" album. At the time it was released, I genuinely thought Cyndi was going to be bigger than Madonna and have more staying power too.
I miss my somewhere between 1K and 2k vinyl collection going back to 1965. Lots of 12" disco singles. The collection is 5 hours away from me. I'll never get there.
There's a rap CD i bought 10 times! From 1995 to 2005. Between people stealing it, my whole caselogic case, or it being scratched beyond repair I had to keep buying it if I wanted to hear it. Finally I was able to purchase it for the last time on Amazon music 🤣
I found this gem on eBay for $3.89. If you like loud rock blues & a fantastic slide guitar. Dave is from Australia & plays a South Pacific style guitar, meaning his E string is on the bottom. Gives his slide guitar a unique sound. Rock on.
Do you remember Woodward's? I bought some Christmas crackers there once, and one of the tissue paper hats had Andrew Ridgeley and George Michael's autographs in blue ink.
I tried to find out if they were real, but no one knew...
"I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. "- loll

All are more fun to listen and bop on than anything put out today.
Made me smile. 😀
