So far 7 of the people who've responded to this post have simply bragged that they don't care about actual facts, they have their belief and they're going to stick with it.
This is why I call them MGAnoners. Classical conspiracy thinking.

You might ask yourself why you invest in your BELIEF rather than the actual facts?
Why I invest in my belief? Well facts have not stopped a convict from attaining office for one answer.
The most lawlessness I have ever seen in my longed toothed life happened under his watch.
I do think many other people would have done a better job.
Talking to us more to explain why they chose a stance?
Not biasing events by twisting yourself to appear unbiased?
Hiring more help?
Flushing out the bad eggs in LE and sticking to crime, not trying to rehab the DOJ image?
I don't think we will find out in our lifetime what really happened.
How about having Biden, Schumer etc pound Herman Cain by name for accepting millions from Crow, and Robert’s by name for prepping for another Bush v Gore from the start?
Is that unethical? Unproductive? Necessary?
In other words how do strike back against SCOTUS corruption ethically
I agree more blame with the aggressors
I think in the face of that we need people who are willing to rush and be very vocal and flamboyant and catch headlines to call out SCOTUS and any other obstructing justice. Garland was too timid and careful.
1 point this piece makes is that whinging abt Garland--claim that Garland was too timid bc he did not yell about SCOTUS--is what has distracted EVERYONE from yelling abt SCOTUS.
I also get that you're ignoring that that would have sunk the case.
I promise you, there are 100 other people who COULD do this, but did not. And Trump used that void to lead people to believe the case lacked merit.
His cautious approach seemed to delays in bringing charges against Trump
I wasn't aware of Chief Justice John Roberts' role.
What delays do you think there were (other than those caused by FBI, SCOTUS, and J6C?
This is the point. You believe these things based on feels.
A special counsel often has dedicated resources and can focus solely on the assigned investigation
https://www.npr.org/2023/07/11/1187100364/trump-carroll-lawsuit
It's ALWAYS slow--there are crime scene defendants who moved as slowly as Trump (remember COVID stalled everything 14 months).
But Trump had two more ways to stall: Executive Privilege (10 months) and Attorney Client privilege (25 witnesses/subjects were lawyers).
Those details will be quite useful with Kash running FBI.
But I would rather have a system of government that protects everyone, even him, from over reach and abuse then have one where our rights can be trampled based on the whims of a prosecutor.
Pipe bomber: I think there’s real unanswered questions about what the FBI did and didn’t do to follow up. And we will never get answers now.
2) Bill Barr killed the Mueller and Ukraine cases (tho Garland DID try--on the first day possible
3) It was Biden's decision to keep Weiss
Wow that was easy. Any other things Garland should have done and did?
A special prosecutor would have removed all doubt whether the DOJ was serious about prosecuting Trump. Those doubts led to the Jan 6 investigation in Congress not cooperating and the delays following from that.
But not reviving those cases was a political decision on the part of Biden/Garland.
3) "It was Biden's decision to keep Weiss"
And ultimately Garland did what Biden wanted him to do.
Which is why I think Biden is much more to blame.
I’ve seen it firsthand, pithy slogans masquerading as some claim of truth which, as you say, does make them look weak.
Isn’t it crystal clear that you said Trump ***might*** try to block release of the Smith report in the days/weeks ahead?
Good grief.
You are a saint.
You addressed this before.
Hopefully, this time, people read your fact-based post.

It was the grave source of mistaken opinions. Holy hell they didn't even understand the import of the Proud Boys and missed a bunch of things that happened in 2021.
1) Media (& pollsters) for not keeping the charges front and center
2) The judges who saw their job as being to protect Donald from a trial
3) Voters who voted for him without a verdict.
But that's a lot of what's going on. MANY people simply outsourced accountability to Garland, one of few people who couldn't speak public, rather than to people who could.
None of this was going to be easy.
Anyway, this was in the same article where he said he was sure he would have won if he stayed in. Is he right on that, too?

J6C caused 3-7 months of frivolous delay--DOJ HAD to wait for their transcripts. So in fact you've proven the opposite of what you think
Or two others:
1) DOJ had to and did get Executive Privileged testimony. That's the 10 months from June 2022 to April 2023.
2) DOJ HAD to wait for J6C's transcripts, which they delayed.
So DOJ could not FINISH until after J6C did.
Are you ALSO angry that they started seizing devices at CC1?
YOUR page and specifically this piece you wrote about all the fuckstick/smith doings is incredible. thanks.
What do you think should have taken less time?
This was MORE THAN A YEAR after Congress presented it's Jan6 hearings on 7/2022.
For his televised crime.
You're basically asking to go to trial w/o proof that the murderer held the murder weapon.
And btw, J6C CAUSED 3-7 months of frivolous delay.
Not all of these were Garland's sole choices, but for God's sake:
Twitter issued a ban from the platform 1/2021 based on the public statements alone.
And no, that's what what happened with Xitter.
But I'm not expecting all of those wheels to stay glacial 1/21/2025.
I'm expecting a weaponized 2025 Justice department to act in a swift and coordinated manner with no fear of "appearing biased".
I sure hope Garland releases Jack Smith's report. The public won't care, but, as you wrote, it would complicate the confirmation hearings.
None of this has the power to shock the senses after 1,481 DAYS.
Only that America failed — all of us.

But basic literacy and the links to the LATER NYT will make it clear it got much wrong.
Try reading the post. Stop believing in Bigfoot.
For those who don't, each delay equates to a conspiracy. Reality is usually quite different.

Nothing. He is 100% set in his beliefs.
Being married to someone whose worldview has shifted so much that they are no longer recognizable is a huge, tangled mess. It's even harder when those views perpetuate what I see as wrong with the world.
I am not blind to my options.
But we are all married to MAGA, in a way, especially now. They are our neighbors, relatives, colleagues, yes, sometimes romantic partners, because we tolerated it. Because it was “peace b4 truth.”
I'm so sorry you have to deal with this and hope you will find your best way forward.
Their lawyers work the system to get their guy's cases shut down and evade responsibility yet again.
Ours are by-the-book institutionalists who couldn't find enough virtue in playing those same games but to strengthen the overall system.
