Oddly, I'm listening to the audiobook by @saxonaudio.bsky.social of one of my earliest books, "To Sift Through Bitter Ashes," book one of a Dark Ages Vampire trilogy... I barely remembered it and it's been REALLY fun. Also reading Buffalo Hunter by @sgj.bsky.social
"Hope you're having a great day, wherever you're and if it's the opposite, sending hugs and love towards you, Albeit all inconvenience and weird approach, I'm pretty sure you've come across various comments like this online and would gladly appreciate if you can send a dm and Hear me out, Thank you"
I just finished House of Bone and Rain. The Devil Takes You Home was my last read of 2024. You are so talented, thank you for these very entertaining books!
I've begun my journey over again.
About halfway through this one, but just under 3% of the story has been completed.
Not really watching much beyond the weather this year so far. No particular reason, just trying to stay focused on the goal.
Today I finished reading Coven by Edward Lee, and I just now watched The Red Violin. Tomorrow I'll be reading more Manson: The Life and Times of Charles Manson (been slowly working through it), and will probably watch Old Boy
Finished “What the Daemon Said” by Matt Cardin, finished “The Two Towers” again, currently reading “Return of the King” and a Norman Partridge collection, and a Lisa Tuttle collection… watched “The Spine of Night” and “Mad God” again…
Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang. Mind. Blown. He had to make up the internet because it didn't exist yet when he wrote the story "Understand," and not only did he do that, he also made up how to hack it.
Just finished reading Horror Movie by @paultremblay.bsky.social, which OMG was amazing. Waiting for Wake Up and Open Your Eyes, so will probably read more of a Stephen Graham Jones short story book in the meantime. Watching Law & Order on Disney Plus.
Saw Nosferatu before we had to hole up for the snowpocalyse. Reading “Out There Screaming” (ed. Jordan Peele) and guiding my poor husband through his first watch of the X-Files. (Yeah, I know. He lived under a giant rock.)
Slow Horses Season 4 on Apple. Whole cast is fantastic but Gary Oldman is legendary as Jackson Lamb. Jonathan Pryce as a character suffering dementia is hitting some really subtly accurate notes.
I think I may be able to finish Intrastellar MegaChef. Also making my way thru Ed Yong’s I Contain multitudes which is non fiction that reads a little like Horror/Scifi
I'm interested in the psychological and social journey that leads people to mistrust accepted truths, entertain "alternative facts", and embrace full-blown conspiracy theories.
Taking advantage of free Apple TV this weekend to finally watch The Essex Serpent. Will probably leave it at that (1st episode last night, so 3 today).
Yesterday I finished The Sanctuary by Andrew Hunter Murray. Very enjoyable.
Listening to The Books of Doors and reading (with my eyes) This is Why we Lied. I'll probably finish season 2 of Dark Winds since I'll probably get snowed/iced in.
Watching: Don Siegel’s take on Hemingway “The Killers” with Lee Marvin, John Cassavettes, Angie Dickinson, and Ronald Reagan!
Reading: “The Last King Of California” by Jordan Harper
Watching The Day of the Jackal and ready to start Silo next. Listening to the all-star cast audiobook of World War Z by @maxbrooks.bsky.social and reading:
Reading an EXCELLENT Scott Phillips novel, watching nothing in particular. I tried one crime film and one horror movie, but shut them off 10 minutes in because I didn't feel like it. Some days are meant for books and shooting the shit only.
Tried to watch Haunted Ulster Live and got bored ten minutes in. Still slogging through Barker's The Scarlet Gospels, which is alternately interesting and really not doing it for me.
Currently reading Half Sick of Shadows by Laura Sebastian and What Feasts at Night by T. Kingfisher. Mostly watching an obscene amount of snow from my window lol
Comments
Watching: World Junior Hockey Championships from Ottawa.
I should get back to work on my book.
Otherwise we finishd squid game 2 and saw some season 3 ST:TNG.
Working on a rachel morgan novel. I never know what exactly i’m reading on kindle. The title’S never in my face.
Great anti-nazi fun.

Light romantic mystery.
Lots of batshit magic nonsense and explosions across the board. 😂
Yesterday I finished The Sanctuary by Andrew Hunter Murray. Very enjoyable.
Fun!
Reading: “The Last King Of California” by Jordan Harper
Watching - No Good Deed on Netflix
