Left front small burner is the one I use most. It's only me and the cat so I don't cook a whole lot. If I need a bigger pan it's the front right big burner. Unfortunately I've been forced to deal with electric stove for 10 years now.
Front right for cooking, rear right for simmering. Have safety caps on the stove knobs when not in use to keep the cats from accidentally cooking anything! π€£π€£π€£
I see your favorite spatula and raise you a spare favorite spatula stored away against the day they stop making said favorite spatula⦠which does its best work on the front left burner.
I see your spare favorite spatula and raise you your favorite non-matching top/cover bc the rest are mixed & and who wants to go digging around for the matching one?
Bottom right, and top left when I need two burners. This particular stove is suited for my preferences being that the top right burner is filled with garlic pepper and the bottom left was extra dirty when we moved in 5 years ago. π
Who doesn't have that???? For decades I had a 1920s era stove that the right front burner would catch fire down in the works. It trained me for life--- left front FOREVER!!!!!
My teen son who fancies himself a budding chef always uses the front left even though it is the worst burner unless you're boiling a pot of water. He burns everything and has ruined countless pans.
Is that an autistic trait, or completely normal to have, and the one who doesn't have a fav is a complete psycho? π€ (prefer front left, but depends on what I am cooking, soup on back row and 2 of the left ones linked.)

We have long discussions about this at home. We each have a favored burner for particular cooking tasks. (Long winters demand creative engagement with what us near.)
Gas range, so there's a pot for each burner. Little saucepan goes back right, medium saucepan- back left, big fry pan- front right, stock pot- front left for that PowerBoil (tm) action
Right? Then I learn, for the health of the range (if gas) you're supposed to mix up what burners you use. To say this has thrown off my boiled over pot game is an understatement.
Front left for personal cooking, front right for bigger meals. The rear burners are only used for things that need heating but less supervision (and therefor get ignored more often than not)
My kitchen was made for right-handed people. The biggest burner is the right front, thereβs more counter space on the right for prepβ¦and I just realized this! And Iβm left-handed, so I periodically get irritated cooking. Now everything makes sense!
I actually took this picture yesterday (?) to see if my phone would change the color of the heating element. (Some phones show what looks red to your eyes as purple according to social media.) But yeah, this would be that burner of which you speak. π
Right side because the burner there is the perfect size and can change whether large or small pans or pots. That part of the glass stove is a mess. But itβs good.
My front, right burner is my sweet cooking spot, so much so that if daughter or 16 attempts to cook something on one of the other 4, I'll move the pot or pan to the front, right one.

Depends on the pot I'm using, tbh. Some of my eyes are different sizes.
Number 1. Upper left corner.
Maybe theyβre 8β and 10β, I havenβt measured.
Secondary: Front left for gentle heat.
Iβm very right dominant
The real question is what the two on the right are for
Man, thatβs effed up!
