Among other systemic failures, it's an abdication of the school's duty to socialize children. I'm sure the arrests are reinforced by the administration as getting rid of the bad apples so the "good kids" can learn. Indicates lack of training and empathy by the adults. It's so sad.

I wouldnt call the police on a child in a school for anything. My background is in special ed, emotional support, behavior analysis. Even when a child is endangering themselves and/or peers, you can call mobile crisis teams that take them for therapeutic support, rather than prison
