So a few books back I wrote my first enormously long meal scene and now I have written some in-book poetry. I feel I'm establishing my credentials as a proper fantasy writer.

When GRRM started adding
sumptuous banquet scenes where what everyone was consuming was described plate by plate, I wondered if he was on a strict diet. Vicarious gourmandizing.
Unfortunately, if history serves, we're going to need a 1-2 page hymn written in the in-world language of one of your non-human races before the world will recognize it.
You know you've joined the pantheon of the greats when the meal is turned into a cook book and the poems into a prog rock album. Or folk, filk or hip hopera. It's all good.
ah okay well then maybe you can just hammer out a mythology book, could get a streaming service to stretch an adapted screenplay to the breaking point. Then you’ll really have made it.

Robert Parker displayed his skills by intertwining dialogue to advance the plot with food prep, cooking, and dining. Wonderful. I recommend every entry in his Spenser series but none more than Small Vices.
I thought so! The Tyrant Philosopher series were the first books of yours that I read. Locked me in as a fan! I loved them and have been recommending them to everyone! David Thorpe does a great job of narrating!
I know this is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I still appreciate your nod towards a sense of imposter syndrome despite being one of the best authors currently publishing works across several genres. Makes me feel a little more empowered in regards to my own endeavors.

this could work if, in the audio book, the narrator has a well trained voice. It will be shït otherwise.
There and back again?
