Statement from NCAA president Charlie Baker on Donald Trump’s executive order banning transgender athletes from women’s sports.

Waiting for the NCAA to do something really stupid like- start a MAGA League.
"The NCAA is an organization made up of 1,100 colleges and universities in all 50 states that collectively enroll more than 530,000 student-athletes. (1/4)

Pathetic.

There are more students with raging STDs than the less than 10 transgender students he testified were in NCAA sports.
Breaks my heart a little…the disrespect of women in the name of social accommodation for males who find deep psychological comfort in being treated as though they’re the opposite sex.
Ordinarily women love to back the party that demonizes us for having opinions about our rights… 🤷♀️
None of this has anything to do with the results of the election. You're just lashing out for people rightfully calling what you are, a bigot.
Who raised you to have such dismissive disdain for females?
Nothing progressive about that.
Huh.
Being trans is a real, physiological thing, and defining people by what's between our legs is flawed, at best.
You can look all of this up, btw.
Btw, I appreciated very much what you wrote. Thank you.
Follow the money. Trans medicine is a multi billion dollar boom for big pharma.
Follow the money. It’s illuminating. And troubling.
I agree that trans is a real condition, that trans identifying males are experiencing real symptoms. What I don’t agree with is that what they’re experiencing is womanhood.
I have real respect for what it means to be female.
Perhaps social media isn’t your strength
The students should strike until they get it together and support all folks playing sports
~10 transgender athletes
100% caving in to authoritarianism

Other than sheer brute force.
But by reinterpreting the non-discrimination provisions of Title IX, it can force universities to bend if they want to keep receiving federal student aid.
The job of lawyers is to interpret language to accomplish the goals of the client, and "discrimination" is a word with many possible meanings.
So still just power and bullying
Much moderate. Very reasonable. Isn't it cute how us New Englanders love electing token Republicans?
