Last week I came across an abstract that referred to a “neutrino fog,” but I did not take the time to find out whether a neutrino fog is the thing I think it might be (Big Bang neutrinos), or some different, perhaps stranger thing.
It is about searches for dark matter! As detectors become more sensitive, they exclude fainter and fainter dark matter-matter interactions. At some point, the expected neutrino flux from cosmic ray interactions in the atmosphere, from the sun and from supernovae becomes comparable to the dark matter

Oh, dammit.

[memorize number of Big Bang relic neutrinos per unit volume]
[estimate volume of this room]
[multiply]
“…like the N that are passing through this room right now.”
For extra trolling points, be specific.
"I'm a researcher studying 5G cellular radio waves, like this one."
He liked it.
Like this one.
