Senate Dems don't get that Schumer is dragging them all down with him.
It matters that the House GOP margin is narrow. It hasn't mattered in the Senate. The Senate has done what they'd do with 100 Republicans. Same appointees confirmed, same bills passed, same pace.

Schumer's message...
"We will NOT fight for you!"
It's a bold play.
We'll see if it works out for him.
Schumer didn't drag his colleagues kicking and screaming to this outcome. There were undoubtedly more in his caucus who voted No on cloture but hoped yes.
There are other Senators who are in lock step but just got spared the heat on this one.
The point is to have leadership pulling the right way instead of the wrong way and it DOES make a difference.
Plenty of Senate Dems know Schumer is dragging them down. He went from supporting the original plan on the 11th to suddenly changing on the 12th and it blindsided senators. That alone makes it clear they do NOT all support him.
Be comforted! They will hang around as hangers-on do to tinker with procedures and bury hope deeper in its subsections.
Schumer needs to step down immediately! The other “yes” voters should lose their committees!!!
What they did was like removing the liver for a kidney transplant.
Block them all
Both Kaine and Warner have been playing games with supporting Trump’s nominees and prob voted No on the CR because the caucus let it pass.
Not sure who you are to suggest I can’t be mad.
When the Democrats aren’t even pretending to care when we need them the most, why waste energy getting mad at Republicans?
They spent the entire Biden administration claiming the Senate couldn’t do anything because they didn’t have the votes. Which, fine. Manchin was a shit, Sinema sucks, etc.
But now? They aren’t even using the filibuster!
I’m not saying people shouldn’t be mad. I’m saying there are better ways to handle disagreements than falling for a GOP setup every time.
I agree that Republicans absolutely are the root cause and deserve blame but the Senate Democrats aren’t even *trying* to slow down the Republicans.
The viable options narrow down real quick when both parties in the legislature functionally support this.
I'm... not... entirely convinced that's true.
I want an accounting.
I get that you're angry but don't let it blind you.
