I'm painfully tired of honey bees still getting the most attention when they're not native to North America. They're basically livestock and outcompete our native bees. We do NOT need more urban hives.
So please, let's some some of our glorious wild bees for a change!

Euglossa dilemma 💚
Hang up a bee log. A better house for them.
Random old log with a bunch of holes bored in (and up) about a half an inch.
They haven’t touched the house since and I get to enjoy these huge, beautiful, curious, fuzzy buzzies.
Nature Now has an episode on native bees! Do you know about the Washington Bee Atlas?

The best things to do are plant native flowering plants wherever you can, avoid pesticides, and provide nesting sites.
@xercessociety.bsky.social has tons of resources for supporting wild bees and you can certify your yard as habitat!

These fuzzy pollinators evolved here in North America. One Mason bee can do the work of 100 honey bees! 🐝
You can hear all about these super pollinators here: https://crownbees.com/blogs/news/mason-bees-npr-super-pollinators
Anyway, that should have been, let's SHARE some....
"No, sir. They are socks for bees."
Is the last one Osmia lignaria? was it taken in North America?
