The world is entering a downswing of history. I'm not ashamed to shill my dad's book that covers electricity, ammo, water, food, health, and sustainability. These topics are covered in ways that other books do not. Especially making, storing and using electricity.
I read the teeny tiny article. Essentially tariffs can be ok but not these ones. But by presenting the little article with this headline (and in the current political context) it does look like a signal to the administration.. "Don't destroy us next. We'll bow. Look. See?.
There was something they used to say like a mantra... you know, like a little kid says "No!" over and over when faced with an inconvenient truth... it's just on the tip of my tongue...
Oh, yeah.
Fake News.
This is roughly equivalent to posting a headline that says "Sometimes shooting people is justified" right after a school shooting. It has nothing to do with current events, but it certainly looks like condoning the terrible thing that has happened.
This is CNN in an attempt to appear fair and balanced. There is no fair and balanced in a dictatorship. The sooner the media recognize and accept this reality, the less America will read news like this.
"Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies." "We should beware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world, all while cynically waving the American flag." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp1T7kPEdDY&t=53s
Seriously CNN. That has got to be the most pandering headline of the day, maybe week.
Then you bury the 'but this is a bad case' use message, which should have been the headline. Also, you fail to mention there are more sophisticated economic methods to achieve the same aims without damage.
Holyyyyy...tariffs are being implemented in order to attempt to destroy another country's economy. 🍊 said it himself.
Kindly FO with this sane-washing.
He is trying to take over sovereign nations and you're sitting on your hands. Journalistic integrity is dead at your network.
Interview: with USDA auditor and army vet who was fired! Farmers left hanging. USDA whistleblower exposes loan freezes, broken contracts, and vanishing oversight. Rural America is paying the price while those in charge look the other way.. https://youtu.be/h1BX5Ys9Vg0
Schooling us on the standard uses of tariffs? 13-year-olds can Google it for an economics essay. I'll keep watching your TV channel, for now, as I have done for many years. But I'll save time and be more careful about the CNN articles I click on here.
Sharing what I’ve been doing as a Canadian. Just emailed all US stores I buy from to tell them why I am unsubscribing & not buying from them (lunatic president). Buying products/groceries from Canada or any other country other than US. Threaten Canada and impose tariffs what has the US become?
For anyone who thinks it doesn’t make a difference, I’ve already gotten back some heart warming emails in solidarity and understanding from the smaller stores. We need to let Americans know how upset we are and why.
"Practical and beneficial" are not in the same vein as "blanket and wielded like a sledgehammer."
Don't talk about how they could be. Report about how they are. Google is (still) free. Report on news.
Tariff games are a great idea for a leadership that wants to manipulate stock prices and so cash in. They are terrible for just about everybody else. Those windfall stock profits hurt people. The uncertainty and offence creates long term market damage. USA becomes a trading partner of last choice
Oh right. Like sometimes there are practical- and sometimes beneficial- use cases for not discussing an elected felon that is making the US a fascist state, that’s in bed with Russia, destroying the economy, illegally removing rights and funds to millions. Free speech ends when news avoids the truth
Yes, but that's why you shouldn't medicate yourself if you know shit about medicine or pharmacology. And if you allege emergency when there's none, you should be punished for it.
Hey @cnn.com, What is practical and beneficial about tariffs against Mexico are because Sheinbaum made fun of baby orange hitler? What is practical and beneficial about tariffs against Canada because Trudeau is good looking and the narcissistic pig is not. We all know that is why. Why don’t you?
How much were you paid to write this? In a very short time CNN will no longer exist and everyone in your establishment will be jobless. See how tariffs help you find a new job.
Really CNN....kissing the boots. Look how scared you are to even say anything bad. First amendment and all....sad day. You should just shut off your programming and roll over for orange grandpa. Sad day indeed.
Again CNN promoting Trumps agenda, just like the election not telling the truth and making the waters muddy. Tariffs are taxes that the people pay for, causing higher inflation. The last time a President did this, it put the economy in a depression. God bless America.

Oh, yeah.
Fake News.
"This" is a bad use case.
US cars will be more expensive.
Does anyone believe, Trump-voters will build cars on Mexican-salaries? 🤔
Do better, CNN.
It’s almost like CNN is starting to pander …
All economic policy should first consider the people, the working class, not the ruling leeches.
Trump is trying to deport 5 % of the workforce
Gross unemployment is at 4.1 %
Trump wants to create new jobs in the US through tariffs.
Anyone with a brain can see that makes absolutely no sense 🙄
Hey CNN, Trump is never gonna fuck you. You aren’t his type.
Oh, and in conclusion…
Then you bury the 'but this is a bad case' use message, which should have been the headline. Also, you fail to mention there are more sophisticated economic methods to achieve the same aims without damage.
Kindly FO with this sane-washing.

Yes. There ARE some limited and practical uses of tariffs that make sense, and we should pause to learn about them.
Where CNN failed is that they did not put in their headline, nor end their article, with "But what Donald Trump is doing is not one of them."
Like we don’t suffer from that daily?
Don't talk about how they could be. Report about how they are. Google is (still) free. Report on news.
Enough with the misleading headlines only to tell us Trump is taking the tariffs too far and economists are concerned 2/3s in
TRUMP IS A TYRANT WAGING WAR WITH OUR ALLIES
There’s your headline. You don’t even have to pay me 👌🏼
ALL 750 000 000 EUROPEANS MUST BOYCOTT TRUMPS USA!
DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM USA!
YANKEES GO HOME!
Disgusting misleading headline, CNN.
