entrenching incumbency, undermining fair elections.

Genuine question.
Over 400 pages of legislation.
#EndTheDuopoly2025
The amount spent by C200 was excessive and, in my view, harmful for democracy. I know you will disagree with me there.
However,if we fund elections publicly we can give each candidate a fixed amount and level
It means the ideas win, not the marketing teams
Fatima payman was his warning to them all
The Duopoly are trying to sneak this through with little or no objections from MSM ....and of course the Murdochracy.
Until we have that, we don’t deserve more independents
ALL of them to date are in LNP-held seats.
NONE of them are challenging in ALP-held seats hence my comment.
In 2022 there was dissatisfaction with the LNP (rightly) that they stood in LNP held seats.
In 2025 there’s dissatisfaction with the ALP (rightly) and they’re still standing in LNP-held seats.
Please explain?
The key now is for independents to win enough seats to form a minority govt with one of the major parties.
Rectifying these anti-deomcratic changes will be a key condition!
Our only hope now is to build the cross bench as big as possible
We are not that far off
A candidate in the poorest suburb gets the same cap as the well heeled candidate .
People who know the electoral system will donate to candidates outside their electorates .
Labor is far from perfect
It doesn’t punish or demonise the poor on $20,000!pa .
Is your issue the $800,000 limit for Independents?
Clive Palmer spent $60 million . I know you aren’t him

First timers have no staff, no infrastructure whereas incumbents have staff, offices, resources.
Incumbent independents are slightly better off in that they have staff and infrastructure.....But
The ALP, LNP & Greens have such a disproportionate reach.
This legislation is not addressing the real issues.
The immensely well resourced vs the pushing shit up hill fraternity.
How did they figure that out ? Who was on the Committee?
Btw Don’t Greens have a tithe to donate 10% of salary to party?
And it is complicated according to the minister and all Zoe Daniels is asking is commonsense
We have to remember The Labor vote is in the low 30s the LNP combined lower so the indies do have a point of view

Needs to be transparency in all political donations .
With all the millions spent on advertising against Labor and msm piles on no surprise at 30%
It's not as if the indies individually or in total match Labor or LNP
Clive Palmer is not an indie neither are the greens
MSM is going to do what it wantS #MRC

It came as a shock when I learnt that there are those who vote based on how much money they got with no thought to the society they were building.
Disagreement I understand, greed I do not.
Chaney, who was elected 2022 to the seat of Curtin, said
"While a new independent would have to comply with a $800,000 spending cap, it appears that each political party can spend $90 million, shifting that money around to support any member who is being threatened by a newcomer.”
Teals are well heeled with community support
A minority Labor government would be good for everybody especially Labor in the long run.
Imagine the hand wringing if Labor had to deal with independents to get anything passed in the lower house as well as the senate.
Lessons would be learnt.

Do the independents unite to form a party?
Is the Swiss form of gov’t what we need?
Lastly, how can any of us help?
She claimed there is "fierce competition".
Duopolies would say that, wouldn't they? #auspol
Maybe talk to an aged worker or somebody in the gig economy .
Not your social circle ? Collateral damage?
Now, despite surviving on a disability pension, the nearest BB clinic is 50km away
And I'm not alone

The November data
He simply couldn't afford to do it anymore
At present I have a GP who bulkbills, am moving to a regional town next month, wondering what will happen with medical expenses. Not good economic policy to let standards of living fall. No sense in a wealthy county.
You can’t blame a govt if a GP refuses to bulk bill
Suggest that such a conversation would simply take place in your head.
colesworth listing the cheesecake shop as their competitors is like lab-lib saying that they are competing with minors/indies - ridiculous when you consider the power imbalance
Makes the uni party look scared of actual policy
