Little Big Planet 2! My favourite game of all time, due to nostalgia and love for the creativity that it once hosted in its community. R.i.p LBP franchise 😭
I wish I could tell you. I have a rotating selection of favorites that seems to change from minute to minute.
Been playing old Castlevania games lately. Still trying to finish Persona 5. Just started Tales of Arise. The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is great, too.
ooooh tough, it would be a fleeting whatever I'm playing becomes my favorite. Until its beaten. Realistically any of the fallout series. any of them. Maybe not tactics.
Chrono Trigger's one of those rare games that did EVERYTHING right, from the soundtrack to the story and battle system. I don't have a single complaint about the game.
Final Fantasy 8. The expert cinematography of the intro scene blew my little prepubescent mind the first time I saw that -- I was like "man, all this came from off that little disc??". People have valid critiques about the combat system, but the characters and the ingame music are still my favorite.
Such a tough call. The moment in Gears of War 3 is so tough to pass (if you know you know). I miss the feeling of how truly Massive WoW felt in 2004 and the wonder it filled me with (but could never go back). All LucasArts & Sierra Online (Ken & Roberta era) games basically too.
If we're talking just for us, it's Robot Alchemic Drive a PS2 game that has aged like milk. Very much situated itself at a particular time and place in my nostalgia. But if we're talking games we'd recommend for others to try, Mad Max (2015). Simple gameplay, but wonderfully bleak atmosphere.
I played it on my friend’s switch so they have the ss but I remember going crazy on the level where you move in with the first partner, I tried so hard to co-exist and blend things together then lost it when the degree wasn’t allowed to be displayed 😭 like fuck that dude
There have been a few to release since breath of the wild. The latest to release was echoes of wisdom, which was really fun still and is great for younger people to play aswell. If you have played EoW, then the Links Awakening remake on the switch is in the same style and is also good fun.
Thanks so much! He's 14 and getting harder to buy for but he really loves these types of games. Also Fortnite and Minecraft etc. Any other recs you have? we have a switch and an Xbox.
Quake 2. It had so many revolutionary mods that it spawned Team Fortress and Counterstrike. Absolutely cutting edge for its time, even though it was second generation for 3D accelerators. It's easily the grandfather of all 3D shooters (Doom being great-grandfather). Designer 24 years. Fight me.
Of all time? Castlevania lament of innocence for the PS2!
Currently? It would be the fangame Pokemon infinite fusion, love the artwork for it and seeing what beautiful or cursed pokemon I can make ^^
Can’t say I have one but if I have to pick one it would be Final Fantasy 8 because it went from some edgy teen as mercs to a acid trip space opera time blending journey

I've lost count of the times I've finished IV, tho, and I still find it a fun game.
We immediately knew we were in for something amazing.
I have over 1000hrs in it and the amount of free content they kept adding was amazing. That constant loop of grinding and upgrading hit me just right😌
