When playing the first Dark Souls, hold Ctrl to walk (as opposed to your default jog). This allows you to get about a pace away from an enemy's back before they notice you, giving you easier backstabs. Easier navigation on ledges too, of course.
If you can get one on sale, they’re insanely effective I find, though I also use the plastic picks. My teeth are super close and I have a connecting thing across four that makes flowing crazy hard. The waterpik is great. I usually also add mouthwash into it to get things super fresh tasting. Love it
practicing drawing certain things will help with different subjects that have an overlap of used skills.
this effect can be chained & used in combos.
for example - architecture <-> weapons <-> vehicles <-> mecha <-> armour <-> anatomy <-> landscapes <-> locations <-> architecture
If something is wrong with the tank part of your toilet, try fixing it yourself! There's only a handful of moving parts, and they're generally easy to fix, and somewhat universal. It's much cheaper than calling a plumber, amd is goodbye experience!
It's ok to treat yourself. Just make sure you acknowledge it and remember that you did good. One day you'll be complimenting yourself without the treat and it will feel good.
Keep a thermos of warm-hot water near you. When you wake up and feel thirsty the warm-hot water will help your mouth feel hydrated faster than cold water.
I am always me, but me is on a journey of self discovery and improvement and from my perspective, your platitude is more about comforting yourself than raising me up.
also looks better (and is much more efficient to actually make) when looking at the whole picture & not zooming in too much, like it can be all too easy to miss the forest for the trees as an artist
If you want fresh fries, ask for "fries without any salt" almost any fast food place makes fries with salt, so they will have to prepare a brand new batch for you.
Warning! This will cause your fries to miss a critical step for salt-adhesion, even adding salt afterwards will not save you. This will also mess with the saltiness of the fries of the people behind you in the queue, as the residual oil of the frier is a key ingredient in the procedure.
When creating, it's important to actually finish your work. Making a habit of hoping off a topic or story leads to thousands of incomplete projects that loom over you every time you type or draw. God knows the dread that looms over me whenever I open a google doc.
For the winter season and generally any time for bad weather:
Pre-check the weather conditions, even a week in advance. Fill your gas tank BEFORE it's snowing, as well as oil and any other necessities. Don't chance it, don't risk it. Always be prepared.
If you’re struggling opening a bottle of something sugar syrupy like kahlua, run the cap under hot water for a little while first to soften up the sugar. Makes opening it much easier!
Engaging with angry, hateful people is like being handed clearly labeled poison & drinking it anyway. Just ignore them if you can & if you can't, rip them limb from limb... Verbally, that is. Possibly.
Never buy a new computer keyboard online without trying it out yourself in person first. Quality varies so wildly and everyone has different preferences for key travel and sound.
Amazon has a great return policy, so if you can afford to order 3 keyboards that you might like, you can just return the 2 you don’t want to keep for free!
Really useful when you are in a place where you can’t try out the keyboards you want to buy.
If you dislike a particular chore, specifically dishes or something similar, find a podcast that you can only listen to when doing that chore. Currently I listen to The Magnus Archives while washing dishes, I cannot focus on it otherwise and now I actually like doing chores.
If you take out the first piece of bread (toss or eat, your choice), your bread will last longer because you're only touching the pieces you want to eat right then. The more you touch bread, the faster it will mold. It's helped my bread last longer.
If ya take screws/bolts out of something, when ya put em back, put light pressure on the fastener and turn it like unscrewing. You should hear/feel a click when the threads drop into where it starts, then you can screw it in with less risk of crossthreading.
If you're iffy about some eggs the dunk'em in some water. If they sink to the bottom, they're good. Partial floating then they're a bit old but still good. If they're bobbing on the surface, then that's a bad egg. Good for throwing at people you don't like.
When giving a speech, think of three good friends in the audience. One at the left side, one in the middle, one on the right. Speak only to those three during your speech. You'll be more calm, and your audience thinks you're having great eye contact.
Go on a walk and the first unexpected thing you see (rare bird, interesting car, stranger interaction) and then go home and write about it. Change the names and setting enough but keep the content the same. Good trick for varying your writing
There's no wrong when it comes to being simple about it. Especially sometimes when you've created something that got a little too complicated to take a moment and simplify. Even a toothpickcame from the tree. So two does the metal come from the Earth.
Make sure to eat the airplane correctly. If you find that you are tasked with eating an airplane, there’s no way you can all at once. You have to do it bit by bit until the airplane is completely consumed
(this was joke advice I heard on a podcast a few weeks ago I actually found very helpful)
add a layer of RGB Magenta under ur lineart so u can see more clearly what parts u have colored in or not, specially when working with whites. The magenta will SCREECH at u "oi u forgot a spot!". could use lime too or any color that is super bright and vibrant.

1) Never go to bed angry at each other.
2) Never take other people's marriage advice.
Both have helped me. Do what you will with this information.

It adds an umami depth of flavour to the sauce, and the anchovies completely disolve so you don't get any bits of intense fishy flavour.
This sounds like a joke, but it's not.
