One thing about losing a longtime friend is all the inside jokes unspoken again, like a lost language. I’m up here watching “Coming to America” and thinking about how when we’d go out, we’d tell girls that the other one went to the “University of the United States.” It was goofy but now it’s gone.

So sorry for you loss, amigo.
We had our own secret language and shared the same mental WiFi.
He ghosted me because I care too much about people apparently.
It’s a drag being the keeper of all those memories.
I have a Wordpress page where I send them things. It helps.
❤️💔❤️
We had entire sections of scripts and songs memorised to use as inside jokes whenever the situation called for it.
I miss that badly.
Still a good friendship lost is a little death.
I've had it as well, and there's an equivalent hole from their absence... and it's almost harder because it was a deliberate choice.
Sorry for your loss.
I'm grateful to be done but sad about her choices!
😘💘
Also University of the United States please tell me how often that worked smh
See, you’ll be fine!!
I hope he continues to live on in all of the silly little rituals and anecdotes that remind you of your time together.
I live in NY. Whenever my sister and I go through Queens, one of us shouts “we go to Queens!”
Just something that happens to me in these few year periods before starting over again.
At least for you... one of the gifts of having a child as they get older, is you will develop your own jokes with them and youre gonna love them forever. Please dont forget that.
Good times.
Sorry for your loss.
