Happy Birthday! I always enjoy seeing your posts, as I always come across new comics to check out or some very insightful takes, I hope it is filled with good food and good people.
ahh, that must be the reason why i saw an american kestrel this morning when i was out and about! happy birthday, thank you for the joy you bring to the world.
oh, thank them for me!! it's the first i've seen in the wild—she was magnificent! thought she was terrorizing the ducks, but there was another raptor there, though i'm not 100% what it was... i think it's a northern harrier, based on the white stripe above the tail? couldn't get any closer...
also random memory: I remember when you would ask folks to play xrd online a while back and I remember thinking your Slayer was pretty good when we last played.
makes me so happy to see you talk about fighting games every once in a while!
I was born on Thanksgiving Day. Every few years my birthday falls on the holiday itself again. I've been jokingly referring to myself as "America's Bird" in honor of the Turkey for years.
Contrary to what you may have heard, your heart hardening and your curiosity fading and your views become more conservative are not inevitabilities of aging. If anything the years have made me more earnest and enthusiastic. The recognition that this ride won't last forever encourages me to be kind.
I have been the grateful recipient of enormous warmth and kindnesses and hope to dedicate the rest of my life to returning those in kind. For whatever part great or small you may have played in this, know that I appreciate you.
Thanks for the birthday wish and for the perfect use of beatific, that's definitely the word I'd been unable to grasp to describe exactly how that experience felt and how I hope to feel again.
