It's not stereotypical horror in any sense, but the feeling of existential dread and fear I had after seeing that movie was like nothing else.

The Substance is really clearing. I didn’t like a lot of horror this year but I liked that, Abigail, In A Violent Nature (not one I can recommend to everyone but it’s a neat concept) and Cuckoo. Didn’t love the first Smile but heard really good things about 2 so I’m excited to watch.

I made it out to the theater and saw this little indie movie that I'd heard great buzz about, where this innocent young girl gets absolutely mercilessly bullied "Carrie" style by her peers until she loses her shit and goes full batshit telekenesis evil on everybody. It was called "Wicked".
