Harris had moderate stances on every major issue and Trump's are insane, what are we even doing here

Of the three presidential campaigns against Trump, two (2016 and 2024) made elaborate appeals to centrists at the expense of their relationship with progressives, and only one (2020) prioritized efforts to bridge the gap with progressives, however impermanently. The latter approach won.

Hes a homunculus whose only point is to try and lush more people Right.
12: energized the progressive base, won
16: chased the center right, lost
20: tried to split the difference, barely won
24: chased the center right, lost
The usual bullshit excuse. "I would vote for a woman not that woman." Yeah right.
All you need to do is convince them that you’re angry that they’re not being treated as well as they think they deserve.

The Conservative machine, despite its moniker, has always been far more forward-thinking than the Democrats have ever bothered to be.
Time for some urgency.
Having a moderate stance will not win these folks back
If you tell someone on the left to be more moderate, it means telling them to move right
Anyone telling Dems to move to the right at this moment in time is a fuckin clown ass clown who should be ignored
Harris could give coherent speeches
Trump performed fellatio on a microphone during a rally speech…..
Is voting for Trump not a perfect example of revealed preferences?
It's made him super rich telling the powerful what they want to hear and driving everyone else crazy.
So what he really thinks is relevant. What he says is deliberate.
But really they just don't want to live in a changing world. They are weak and scared
I just think some of their social views speak to an internal weakness about facing change. it's hard sometimes, I'm in my 40's a lot of things i was taught growing up, or I assumed were normal aren't, or are blatantly kind of awful, not facing that strikes me as weak
This is all understandable on a personal level, but to me the core job of journalists is to investigate whether their gut feelings are backed by evidence.
Some people just can't seem to accept it isn't some ultimate condemnation of you as a person. (If you actually change and try to do better)
Me: Like on congestion pricing? We can't even get Manhattan less car dependent.
Yglesias: LOL no...no not those views
Me: So... Taxes?
Ygelsias: Haha no not those views either
Me: Which views, exactly?
Yglesias: Oh, you know🏳️⚧️
He's the pundit version of Glass Jaw Joe

The dude is literally a sunglasses poster, he's so desperately trying to code as right wing it's hysterical.
She also refused to break with unpopular Biden positions.

Pretty much everything in our culture goes back to those things.
White people think that anyone else being successful detracts from them and men want women to shut up, give them head and cook dinner.
He refuses to even entertain the thought that he could, y'know, not say most of the dumb things he says. It's a terminal character flaw that has been present his entire career.
So with that said, i think he just hates trans people tbh.
