Not the America we know, but under the current corrupt regime, the America we have. But bless you for standing up. Thank you to all those that try to protect what we HAD.
need a patriotic American like her w/ flanked by 🇺🇸 flags reciting relevant passages from the Declaration of Independence at every protest. make the distinction between patriots & these fascist thugs super obvious
Another particularly large volley from federal agents against pro immigration protesters here in Paramount, CA.. I’ve seen a few people living in nearby homes run out the door choking. Some neighbors using their hose to assist those struggling with the thefts of chemical munitions.
When law enforcement fired "less lethal" weapons at residents in their own front yards and gassed them in their houses with chemical weapons on the second day of the WTO protests, Seattle's people turned against them.
"On their home streets, Hill residents found themselves under attack."
That night I was in Convergence Space on Denny w/ Direct Action Medical Network. We'd been there all week.
When the neighborhood was attacked Dec 1 we were flooded with locals needing help-and also with donations of everything you can imagine then & for days after.
Today ICE builds resistance in LA.
Yes. It lessens the smoke getting into the air and hurting those around you but you wanna make sure that it's big enough and not made of flammable material.
Hey, I know it feels like a war zone down there, but militia really hate it when protesters carry the US flags. It messes with them, and it can bring support.
WHERE IS THE News organizations @msnbc.com @velshimsnbc.bsky.social @abc7.bsky.social @cnbc.com I'm tired of hearing about Trump and Musk's breakup @maddowblog.msnbc.com @maddow.msnbc.com
One man holding up a sign with scorch marks, says his sign was hit by munitions from federal agents here in Paramount. Getting eyes flushed out with milk. (I do not recommend flushing your eyes out with milk)
Milk is better than paint thinner! I got perfume in my eye as a like toddler and had to be irrigated under the tub faucet and the combo was so painful it might be my earliest memory.
Ask a protest medic before you trust me! I just remember that tip from living in DC during Occupy and being vaguely concerned a tear gassing could happen to anyone at any time.
Paramount, CA - This particularly large volley featured a *lot* of chemical munitions from federal authorities. The white cloud in the background is chemical munitions.
NOT saying this to devalue the humans, but I also hate how this affects animals who don't know wtf the humans are doing or any way for wildlife to help themselves from the affects
You know why they called the LAPD? Bc the other guys are Proud Boys posers with Amazon uniforms and fake badges…who are thrilled to take out their anger management issues on unarmed, unsuspecting civilians…but can’t do it without real LE.
@lasdhq.bsky.social put out a statement yesterday saying they don't assist in ICE enforcement. So what is this? (Guessing they'll say traffic control.)
The LA county sheriff's little game of "We won't help ICE, we'll just actively disperse anyone who wishes to observe or resist ICE" is stunningly cynical. And not, imo, politically sustainable in LA county.
Nearby the confrontation between protesters and federal officials in paramount, CA. Several people got so gassed they collapsed into a small green area near a Chevron. I’ve seen people run choking out of their houses. Elderly people getting treatment for CS exposure.
Thanks for the coverage. Curious about the word choice - pro-immigration protesters. I’m not sure of a better descriptor (anti-ICE?) but pro-immigration doesn’t quite fit IMO.
I remember the protests in 2020 Minneapolis. The one night I got home early from curfew you could still feel residual effects of tear gas inside. It's screwed up. And against the Geneva convention I believe
Banned by Geneva, used by US law enforcement inside the US to shut people up when they protest the wholesale trafficking of their neighbors to overseas concentration camps.
There is only one way this is going, civil war. I am watching from Hull, England and I am cheering for all the protesters, stay safe and stay strong, the overwhelming majority of the World is standing with you.
Wouldn't it be awesome if the people who think having your breakfast burrito doordashed to you is a human right (and if you disagree, you're an ableist scrumbag) take to the street to fight?
The funny thing is if you pretend like the feds are releasing chemicals from airplanes the right freaks about about chem trails but when they actively bomb people with it they applaud the state
Your own government wants the blood.
We don’t need to tell you which side of the aisle that began from, but
-literally with GOP and Senate & supreme court complicity.
Wondering if a line of people with leaf blowers might be an effective counter to tear gas grenades like those. It looks in the video like the wind is blowing the smoke back towards those who are launching them.
Masks, assault weapons, full battle gear, no warrants, no due process, and now this. May they all rot in hell. What’s coming next, shooting protesters? Yet the Jan6 rioters were given places of honor in this administration.
Yet another good use for swimming goggles. Seriously, stores should be sold out of swimming goggles. Prepare yourselves people. You're taking signs to a gun fight. Dress for the occasion.
Swimming goggles are not efficient against this gas, and against gum bullets neither. You have to use some "made for work" glasses
(Sorry I don't know how to say that)
Organize. When the gas starts analyze the direction of the smoke and move away accordingly make them chase you. Don't sit there and get hit with a canister or rubber bullet they will kill. Were motorcycle helmets, something to protect your head.
Pay attention to how LAPD is providing "control" without lethality. Trump can't declare martial law, but very few are getting hurt. That's not an accident.

Are the canisters hot to the touch? Kicking best option?
in Hong Kong they'd put a traffic cone over it then upend a bottle of water on the cone

Distilled water > boiled water > bottled water > tap water.
#stopTheMadnes and #saveTheUS
ACABMF
Apologies
It would br a darn shame if some propmaster got ahold of one and pointed it at the feds...
(Shame on LAPD)
The LAPD did come out last night tho at 7 shooting less lethals and arresting. Gift link. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/06/us/los-angeles-immigration-raid.html?unlocked_article_code=1.NE8.FWo3.I7I0JUrIPayW&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare
they are also the proud boys who like to beat on people
DON'T FALL FOR IT! THIS IS HIS PLAN!!!!!!
It ain’t us they’re here to protect.

@unroll.bsky.social unroll
Think I'm going to hear more crickets from that camp than rousing.
The penguin is from how state TV broadcast a documentary while the riots raged.
And as we know
SCOTUS encouraged and enabled.

Wow, so much cowardice from the heavily armed mayonnaise brigade.

Is America great yet
Shame on them. Their children will hate them.
(Sorry I don't know how to say that)
It helps with pepper spray but not tear gas it seems
Anyway take cat man
And cats too if that helps
Godspeed protesters!
History repeats itself.
What a drag.✌🏻
Every protestor has to assume their image is being captured and shared publicly, one way or another.
