Aides to Musk have locked employees of Office of Personnel Management out of agency computers, according to two employees who spoke to Reuters.
The two individuals said it was unclear what those who had control of the agency’s computer systems were doing with them.

Perhaps they were worried that if they said trump "didn't have the authority," he'd send his violent followers after them.
Interesting OPM memo came down including environmental justice as a dei initiative to be RIFed. Environmental justice, and the ramifications of this (adding in the goal of gutting environmental regulations) seems right up your alley.
I think they truly don't understand that wealth doesn't insulate anyone from exposure to this stuff.
