A contestant on the Great Canadian Baking show did it a few seasons back. Tried it out and I was thrilled with it. Just remember to reduce the salt by a quarter of a teaspoon if you do that.
Biggest offense ever when people criticize anything about your cooking, I agree they should never be invited, such bad manners, I know someone that claims not to know how to cook but always had a complaint about someone else cooking, smdh
Just don't put garlic in a Honey Baked Ham from the Honey Baked store. 😂 🤦🏼 My VERY loud and proud Sicilian Pop never did live that one down. 😂 (Full cloves shoved into the ham while it was being warmed)
Just a reminder to garlic lovers, some like me can't eat garlic bcuz my gut doesn't tolerate it..I actually appreciate at least letting me know garlic is in something so I can avoid it..
I always adhere to dietary restrictions of others. If I'm cooking for a lot of people, I stick to recipes. If it's for me and people I know like it, I layer it on
I occasionally get bad reactions to garlic and I still don't understand this. There is no "too much" garlic. If there are problems the failure was on my end, the garlic was innocent in all this I simply didn't rise to the greatness as the situation demanded.
If you find this is an issue, try adding a pinch of ground ginger to the food. It won't alter the taste, but can prevent gas, heartburn, etc. from foods that you usually get it from. I always put it in my chili, and it works like a charm.
Nobody says anything about too much garlic. I don’t believe it. It has only been theorized that people out there do not like garlic and has yet to be proven. It’s a fringe theory. Doesn’t occur in nature. Impossible. Hubris!! 😖
You add garlic until you hear the voices of your ancestors say; "That's enough dear."
And if anyone disagrees, they can join your ancestors, let them deal with the detractor!
My daughter, now living in student housing with a pro Asian food cooker: "what is this magical thing called garlic which you've hidden from me my whole life..."
*not exactly true, but MIL is garlic sensitive so my garlic doses have always been miniscule.
Yeah, as I've heard "The Grinch" played about 327 times so far this season, the one line that irks me is "You have garlic in your soul" which just tells me that, for all his shortcomings, he can make a seriously tasty roast beast.
It was honestly a joke, I never go to extremes. I do however have two family members that will say this no matter who made it. If they taste any garlic whatsoever, it's too much. Drives me bonkers
Alright, I absolutely love garlic and can't say I've ever had a dish with too much in it. I thought maybe you were going to an extreme and was just curious.
I definitely understand, when it's just me I love foods with lots of flavor but I too have a couple of family members that prefer things quite bland by comparison. I love to cook so it's simple enough to cook dishes for them and go a little crazy for my own.
Is it possible to have too much garlic? I use it often and find I always use enough. You seem like the type that might enjoy chicken stuffed with 40 garlics.
Toss a few cloves in olive oil, roast in oven until softened then mash them up. Makes an amazing spread for on good crusty bread. You’ve heard of garlic bread, but this is called Breaded Garlic. And no, there’s no such thing as too much garlic
I make sausage (Italian,Polish,American, etc.) I can't tell you how many bland palette friends tell me they dislike garlic. These folks are immediately removed from the gift list . These snowflakes can stick with their Jimmy Dean!
I didn't think there was such a thing as "too much garlic". I mean, damn...I just bought myself a Christmas Eve treat: garlic stuffed olives in olive oil.
Seriously! I made something recently with so much garlic in it and one person told me it was "spicy", I laughed and told them "it's just garlic! But I actually think it needs more garlic!"
I would never tell you that.
A friend of my mother's loved garlic. She reeked of it. She was kind, funny, and NEVER caught a cold or got the flu. Garlic is good, and so, by the way, are onions.
Sounds like my wife. She's making it her way and you better like it and shut up as she's asking how is it and your thinking this would be amazing with a little less this or more of that..customer is never right. 😆 🤣

In school, I was taught to break it down, and individually, those words make sense. Together... no. That's not a thing.
I always have to add at least four times as much as stated.
And if anyone disagrees, they can join your ancestors, let them deal with the detractor!

What, pray tell, is "too much garlic"?
Is that one of those fairy stories; like "leftover wine"?
But only if asked.
I see you.
💋
And grab a crucifix while you still can.
No such thing as too much garlic...
Except on ice cream
Unpossible.
That's how I roll too.
But, I do put thinly shaved raw garlic in whipped cream now that's gourmet.
I don't understand what you're saying.
You want that? Cook for yourself. Otherwise enjoy the meal and kindly stfu.

If the recipe calls for one clove I usually use 4-5 cloves.
We will defeat the vampires. 🤣
