I'm DYING to know which book you're reading. I just reread the first six for the first time as an adult (love), and binged up to book five of Order of the Stars (meh) before losing steam. Books 3 and 6 still make me ugly cry. Inspired this linocut.
I love that you’re reading Warriors! Have you encountered the prolific YouTube fan-animation community yet? This is a great project about Brightheart set entirely in the first arc https://youtu.be/yJP5_ssr54w?si=ivITPljVevM46i3h
We used to LARP warrior cats back in the day. By “back in the day” I mean elementary school. I was Firestar for a good year, until I made the mistake of ceding clan leadership to the girl who bullied me. She became the questionably-named Vanillastar. It stopped being fun after that.
I did not wake up this morning thinking Hank Green would post about warriors cats but I can’t think of anything better. Podcast on warrior cats when Hank?
bro threw me back to being a tween and learning about the magic cat ancestors #StarClan which is the most spiritual education i had bc north america has too much religious colonization trauma
Make sure you guys check out the graphic novel adaptation from @nyaatalie.bsky.social and @sgoetter.bsky.social! Its an awesome version of the first two books with beautiful illustrations
Some bad choices have been made for bad reasons. Specifically, dogmatic beliefs, personal pride, and xenophobia. I worry that some people structured their lives around this.
I listened to A LOT of them while playing Tears of the Kingdom. I hope you're taking an opportunity to discuss healthy choices that these cattos could have made instead.
I started over and had to re-read. I stopped for awhile and then forgot everything and then I had to catch up lol. I'm on The Broken Code #2 and blowing through them.
This next reply is late, but I am enjoying the later books. There's fresh drama that hasn't happened in the past, so it's quite interesting. I've also been reading the super editions, and learning more backstory
Honestly when I did restart, I stopped around the same place. Took a break, and then when I came back I skipped ahead to The Apprentice's Quest and it's been smooth sailing for me. Not sure how much you've read, but the events in OOTS was somewhat boring to me so I skipped

in all seriousness that is what happens when your clan has like 52 cats in it instead of 20
what arc are you on?
Not that such a plot point is especially surprising
