That’s me exactly! In In 2016 I started watching cable news and scrolling Twitter. I felt like I needed to know what was happening minute-to-minute. This time, I’m assuming it’s all as bad or worse than I’m imagining, and there’s no need to be aware of every detail as it happens.
Same. I really don't have any need for news anyway, since I can't help out on the ongoing tragedies occurring worldwide, and I'll automatically vote for every Democrat in every election that comes my way.
A quick google search shows MSNBC has dropped 51% since election night. CNN is down 50%. Sanewashing a dictator is bad for business it appears. Personally speaking, I don’t want the hate and chaos in my living room for the next 4 years.
I accidentally saw that he who shall not be named wants to start a warrior review board to get rid of woke 2 & 3 star generals. That’s absolutely terrifying but I still removed all news apps. I can look at the news if I feel like I’m in a place to see what that MF is doing.
My to-be-read pile of books is already smaller & I've rediscovered Perry Mason 😄 I might even take a walk today, and a nap. This was my original plan for retirement. The fact that we may well be poor & homeless & living under a lawless dictator by this time next year, need not spoil today. YOLO.
Seems to be a common theme. Everybody’s mental health will actually increase a little bit on that one front, so we can have some energy to do the actual fighting.
Same. I used to have MSNBC on in the background all day as I worked. I’m listening to more music now. My stress levels have gone down and I sleep better.
Yep. We all got b slapped with their “normalization” of him when they should have been SCREAMING about his idiocy and about Biden’s VAST achievements. I’m so pissed off.
Just tuned the kitchen radio to MPR classical instead of MPR news for when I want background noise. I just never want to hear his voice or name ever again.

Hi, my name is Mz, and I'm a newsaholic. It's been 7 days since I've last seen the news.
Same.
