Yeah. I'm in Texas so driving to Mexico would be possible (annoying, but possible)...but also I'm starting a healthcare program in the fall and yearly flu vaccines is a requirement for admission, because we're on clinicals from semester one. I can't endanger people by not having it.

Per Offit, he found out at 415 this afternoon and there's no word on whether it will be rescheduled. Given HHS, I think it's doubtful.

The strains chosen are recommended by a combo of the US committee and WHO. But the WHO has 10 member panel of which 2 slots are American.

Per Offit, Pharma can certainly just use the WHO suggestion, but the absence of the US would remove info on what strains are circulating here. So might be a less effective vaccine here.

Personally, I think that Pharma might bitch as they did when the FDA axed device reviewers.
