The last church I belonged to was Episcopalian. A lesbian couple in the congregation started a very successful weekly free dinner for those in need.

To be fair, we don't often see them showing up very visibly for much that sets them apart from the non-progressives. I do think Christians who are more Christ-like should be way more common and visible than they are, it's always appreciated over the alternative.
