english ivy, invasive on the us east coast, is what's got hanger in a tizzy today. mentha does look a lot like nana plant though, except for the jagged edges on some varieties

I love ivy! And I have plans to plant some in my garden - but I'm in Britain where it's native.
Mine is Creeping Jenny… the people who owned my house before me put it everywhere and I’ve spent about 10 yrs now trying to eradicate it. And the Crepe Myrtle that was gone before we bought the place that still is shooting up suckers 10+ years later and fills a large portion of my garden with roots
I have a repeating 4 years job to remove this from under my deck.
Way back when I was younger and more innocent I thought I could remove it completely.
It has taught me otherwise, so once every 4 years the prophecised battle takes place..

Every summer, our backyard is overridden with vines, and if I had my way, I'd torch it all and salt the earth, only to be sure that it never comes back.
