Yes, doing the opposite of Nate’s advice to Dems is usually correct. He’s always been conservative, even when he was supporting Obama in 2008 on Daily Kos.
I do, but you have said you like Shapiro, a guy with sexual misconduct coverup issues and a conservative on things like Palestine, the right to protest, unions, and public schools. I assume you are either in favor of those things or not informed.
So you're just cool with all the backwards ass shit he's pulled and how bad it would look for someone that has shut down multiple sexual harassment inquiries to be on the same ticket as potentially the first woman president?
One of my happiest achievements on Muskrat’s hell platform (before I got nuked for saying no one will miss bigots when they’re gone) was getting that moron to lock down the echo chamber on me rather than answer if he’d agree that a nation
which chooses to bomb every location it designates as a safe zone could possibly be acting with less than total good will towards the unarmed civilians within said safe zones
And to the campaign's credit, I think that would be their exact takeaway were they to see this. I think we're probably long past the point where that particular Nate holds any sway over insiders.
I'd like to think they see the same ah problematic headlines about Shapiro that we all can, note that there are no equivalents for any of the other finalists, and do the math.
Yeah, I'm not sure if they WILL pick Shapiro, but if they do, it's entirely because they think he'll carry PA. I think that's the wrong move if they do pick him, but, like, I do get thinking along that line of reasoning if I'm the Harris campaign.
Haha! He’s my first choice, but, since I have (1) zero say (2) not privy to the vetting material and (3) she has such a strong bench to choose from… I’m all in for whomever. ☺️
how can there be a statistical or polling case to be made for a candidate that is not a nationally known figure? the stories about shapiro aren’t out there yet. whatever the statistics say don’t account for a massive change in opinion we can be *SURE* is coming.
Oh, Look, it's Mister PNAC, the Man Who Is Usually Wrong, telling Democrats what they should do? Sorry, what's yer name, I can't hear you over the all the damage that was done to Iraq....
Honestly after the whole "weird" thing got conservatives' panties in a bunch, I think Walz should've been the easy choice. Dude has the juice to be a VP candidate.
I know a lot of people are nervous (and with good cause) but I'm starting to lean toward shattering the seal. Perhaps another historic pick would be best. A LGBTQ person, another woman, another POC. I know a lot of people want to "play it safe" but I think a 2x history ticket would be exciting & win
