We are all right and there was no harm done to any living thing in question, but earlier this evening I almost wrapped a car around a deer just vibing in my lane at a curve in the road, and only reflexes honed from years of twitch gaming prevented the thing from becoming venison paste on my hood.

Got my car out of oncoming traffic and it was gone. Found the owner, helped look, didn't see either again. Not knowing is agonizing.
When I asked if I needed to fill out a report, the cop said, “No. I don’t think the deer had insurance.”
Also, gaming is magic. I was convinced I had naturally slow reflexes until my late 40s when the amazing game Celeste got me into platformers. Now I will routinely catch falling things, swerve obstacles etc, at twitch rates.
I would probably be toast as I mostly play simulations and card games -- it's been a long time since Borderlands...
And good job, your reflexes!
"No, I saw it chillin out in the field and thought, 'You know what there are too many of them bastards.' So I drove out in the field and ran it down."
As a survivor of a moose/vehicle collision (and a few clise calls), I know that even close calls can be terrifying; please take the time to work out that stress cycle.
