Gonna just keep reposting this whenever the "echo chamber" nonsense pops up again

Ah, I see someone trying to slip the "echo chamber" argument through the back door here, so let me just say: Motherfucker, I live in a county that went 81% for Trump in the last election. If you think I live in an echo chamber because I curate my Bluesky feed, you can fuck yourself sideways, thanks

"Well, you know what I think about that."
"Yes, Niles. I know what you think about everything. When was the last time in your life you had an unexpressed thought?"
I'm online a lot but I don't live here.
It floats by periodically on Imgur.

If people acted like they do on twitter in person I’d kick them out of my house or leave theirs.
So much better than live, laugh, love.
They are pathetic and I don’t give a shit if their peers think I’m unhinged.
I invite them to find out in person.
You should be a writer!!

I don’t need to hear what the “other side” thinks by a bunch of randos online; I’ve already heard it all. My life is basically one big “echo chamber” of opinions opposite of my own.
Randos coming around specifically to annoy me? Don't need it.
That is what they want isn’t it?
Right! Just because we are proactively curating our social media experience doesn't mean we are ignoring what is going on outside.
Also, it's easier to talk about how to solve a problem when you aren't including said problem in the conversation.
If there's anybody I'm worried about living in an echo chamber, it's not my openly gay uncle in a small town in the Rust Belt.
