Mine is objectively not as good and I had to really edit it. But it was shot on film, I barely knew what I was doing, and it makes me really happy to look at because it reminds me of how goddamn insane those 3 minutes were.
Favourite photo of 2024 I took: I know it’s me but it’s so me by Darcy’s pond at Lyme park after walking through a field filled with sheep poo. Sacrifices were made, and the pilgrimage was totally worth it.
This was the best New Years thread ever! I have enjoyed every one of these post, it made me feel that persons emotions in each unique picture. Thanking every poster for sharing your moment!
Amazing, that looks like it could have been of the view I had from my house at the time on Golden Hills Road just off I25 at Garden of the Gods exit on every beautiful blue sky Colorado day. It never seemed real to wake up to that view!!
From the solar flares in October. The Northern Lights are only sometimes visible where we live, but they are usually blue and green. This time they were red and purple, and it was so cool to see them in a new form. 😊
Hard to choose. This is probably my favourite non-eclipse and non-sentient subject photo. I have a great picture of my cat. It's not a good photo but it is funny.
Love! Blue Hanno butterfly / wildflower, taken in a field wild & overgrown, next to where we stayed for a week this summer, in Puerto Rico’s northeast corner. Most of my photos R from within a few blocks of my home in the city of Chicago, so this one unusual for being so far afield. Happy New Year!
Seeing this rally in Detroit was peak optimism this year. I was hopeful. I was happy. I got to see Obama speak live. I got to see my fave artist again. My partner got me there safely and I didn’t pass out! It was a truly special day. You can see us standing in the top left of the FP pic. 💙
Tough choice. Cheating slightly with this set from Arches (which was the trip my family took to commemorate my mum on her first birthday without her). It’s the first time I got to take Doom to a beloved childhood spot & Im just sorry Mum couldn’t see it.

Had a wonderful time at Medieval Times! Along with capturing this dramatic shot. 😌😌
Our unusually photogenic barn is situated perfectly for sunset shots.
I hope they fired whoever took it because in reality it's so cute.
They are overwhelming a part of two categories:
1) Me taking a picture a menu, so I can pinch and zoom cause I forgot my glasses.
2) Me, usually after the above meal, making sure I don’t have food in my beard.

Great shot of the diamond ring, BTW. Cheers!
