You don’t need a subscription to buy audiobooks on Audible. The subscription just gives monthly credits and allows you to carry unused credits over. I can still access anything I’ve bought in my library and my pre-order will appear when it’s available.

Oh yeah I know you can keep the books but I know when I was looking into canceling last year it said unused credits and pre orders would not be available. I’ve been holding out because I had preorders….but if they changed that it’s awesome!

Interesting. I know that unused credits definitely go away and they allow you to make returns/cancel pre-orders only if you have a subscription, but there is nothing saying a pre-ordered purchase wouldn’t be honored. I guess I’ll find out either way on March 25th.

Also have you downloaded your book files? I did that and put them all on some thumb drives. If they pull a book down the line but you have the file you still have it. If you don’t that one just disappears. It came up during one of the publisher disputes a few years back.

Maybe they changed it. I just remeber being mad because I had a preorder for March so I’ve been sitting on it for a few months before I fully transfer over to libro. I’ll dig through the fine print again if I get the chance cuz I’d love to get it gone sooner.

Love your work big time, so I can't wait for this one, but I prefer to just have the "robot voice" of the e-reader I use read the epub of the novels. Any time the audiobook is read by someone with a recognizable voice, it always distracts the crap out of me for some reason.
