I never buy it anyway. I have always preferred to buy domestic alcohol, especially since Ontario makes such good wine and beer, and over the last few years the distilleries have started turning out decent whiskey too. 🇨🇦
Trump is a dangerous, chaotic fool. Worse than the first version because now he’s not only owned by Putin, but he also has a billionaire oligarch pulling his strings and a team of nodding dogs pandering to his idiocy. Add the senility and you have a recipe for a complete disaster.
Get fucked USA. Figure out how to choose a leader who isn't a raving psychopath and I'll consider spending dollars on products from your shithole country.
Trump is trapped in endless cycles in which he acts out simulations of strength to elicit liberal tears he finds emotionally satisfying to distract the country and himself from his own incompetence that leads him to lose control of fights he started, before inevitably capitulating.

So we know on
April 2nd when the market skids off the cliff again be ready to invest large amounts and then sell when May 2nd becomes the next date. The art of the steal
*US WILL GRANT SOME TARIFF EXEMPTION TO CANADIAN POTASH
*SOME CANADIAN ENERGY STILL SUBJECT TO 10% TARIFF: US OFFICIAL
*US COULD DROP TARIFFS ON CANADA, MEXICO WITH FENTANYL PROGRESS
Who cares what rapist felon trump and his MAGA morons do anymore. It’s painfully obvious that they are putin’s useful idiots. They are our enemies and beyond redemption. 😎🇨🇦👊👎
Canada should refuse sales of potash to the US, which US farmers now need desperately for spring seeding, until Trump backs off from tariffs permanently, not just until April 2.
It's something so impt to their economy that it's mentioned separately, so Canada needs to use it as a negotiating tool.
re: "fentanyl progress", just a reminder (which should be constant) that the whole fentanyl “issue” is just a made-up pretext for Canada/Mexico tariffs, which gives Trump the “essential security interests” excuse to unilaterally contravene USMCA/WTO.
According our story, the White House estimates that 62% of Canadian imports to US are currently outside of USMCA. However, I've been told by various sources that a lot of this trade can probably be shifted to be covered by USMCA, so that ratio will likely change.
This was my earlier thread on why a lot of Canadian exports are currently not covered under USMCA. In many cases it's a matter of cumbersome administration, and there wasn't a big penalty for being outside USMCA anyway. https://bsky.app/profile/brianplatt.bsky.social/post/3ljptaa76cs2n
So for now this has the effect of forcing much more trade to be conducted inside the USMCA framework, which is not a bad outcome for Canada. The problem is Trump says this pause is only until April 2, when many more tariffs are coming.
Most likely Trudeau will now delay the second phase of counter-tariffs, which would hit about $125B of US imports. But these are also the much more painful set of tariffs for Canadian consumers, hitting practically every import from the US. So there is some benefit to delaying.
None of this is new. He did the same thing throughout his first administration. He has no core principles, and doesn't listen or learn, so his choices are uninformed and impulsive, and if they meet resistance he just changes direction. Chaos and dysfunction.
It's thrash. It creates volatility. In business school (ask me how I know) one learns that so long as you know a stock is prone to volatility you can make money off it. Trump knows that his thrash is making all stocks volatile. He is creating opportunities...for someone.
Because if its the lying conmen in the US regime, those numbers will always change, and, oh yeah, they don't even matter, because something something fentanyl and cartels...
It's a mug's game to ascribe reason to this asylum.
I'm increasingly convinced that regardless of what else is going on, Trump is also deliberately manipulating stock markets. It'd be interesting to see who is buying and who is behind rallies.
Oh absolutely he is. Everything is transactional for him. Every move he makes you have to examine what’s in it for him. How is he benefitting. Because that is his motive
The nice thing about Trump is that he might be an idiot, but he's also a coward, too. Dude is going to fold every single time without exception because he has no balls.
So the Big Three auto companies pressured Trump for exemptions, but as soon as that was announced, all the other lobbyists were like "Ooh, we need exemptions too."
The real battle here is between Trump and Navaro, who are clearly convinced tariffs are a genius idea, versus the corporate lobbyists, who at least understand how reality works, and have enough money to get Trump's attention.
It's right out of this fucking lunatic's playbook -- screw everything up just because he's a disgusting asshole, then pretend to have fixed it and demand that people pat him on his gross orange head and thank him for fixing it.
Pump and Dump type shit but on a global scale. He and his buddies know exactly when to buy low because they control when they can set things back to normal (market go up)
The US needs to fix this problem with their current administration, and censuring the one person who stood up to them doesn't give the resistance any confidence in the Democrats ability to do this.

We don't even have to do anything, and he removes tariffs.
They should threaten a 1% hike in tariff per day till April 2.
Put Derp J Twerp UNDER PRESSURE!
No change on my end. Until this guy is gone, we have a threat on our southern border

You know for sure that all the corporate lobbyists understand that Trump's tariffs would hurt US companies; those famously integrated supply chains.

He will change his mind again before the end of next week.
He's just despicable in every way.
