I thought she kept saying 'touch it (her hand)' thinking why isn't Waylon doing that and only by reading the comments I realise she is saying 'Talk shit' 😂
As a former dog trainer I highly recommend you teach him to Stop and Come directly to you under all conditions. This is life saving! You're doing a great job. He's happy and very willing to do as you ask.
PS: Not just indoors but outdoors is critical
The most impressive dog tricks are either the ones where the dog seems to say I love you or uses push button playback toys to communicate human language.

Good human! Keeping intelligent breeds thinking on their feet with fast paced focused trick runs is great for curbing destructive anxiety! Waylon is on the fast track to being a happy and successful little poodle!
Poodle if you play fetch with them this is their God and reason to live
And on walks they will often entertain self by turning it into a hunt as a hunting breed like pick up scent try to find the thing just train the dog to drop it which is pretty easy for poodle
When I was little, we had a black poodle a little bigger than Waylon, but just as energetic, just as smart. It turned out that he was the only dog I was able to have, when in my 20s, I came down with severe asthma and allergies, no animals allowed. But I was lucky, he was the very best boy.❤️
My Beans, yes that’s her name, is a MaltiPoo. Smart as a whip and sassy. We have literal conversations. She “answers” questions, uses different woof inflections. Not very good at tricks, way too stubborn.
I think mini poodle are so popular cuz they act like a big standard being smart and wanting a job and not being too extra but they look like a little fluffy teddy bear
Of course, but some dogs absolutely love to learn new tricks and tasks. Mine gets so excited when she does something I ask that she prances around excitedly. This dog clearly is having fun! It’s enriching for many dogs.
Exactly! I get the thought behind us not being “owners”, but a dog is a dog, not a human so folks gotta recognize they have different needs and brains. One of those needs is stimulation and learning tricks is a huge boon!
And fyi poodles are hunting dogs, they may look similar but totally different lineage from like Bichon or Pomeranian poodles became pets and breed to be smaller relatively recently and a lot of them even the baby looking ones act like working dogs
That is great training. I would tell my dog to find their butt , and he would sit. We also held our hand like a gun and would say ( bang ) and he would lay down like he was dead ! I’m not sure 🤔 that is appropriate any more .
That's so adorable ❤️❤️❤️
I'm trying to teach Hunter to "whisper." He looks at me like he's saying, "I'm an old dog. You ain't gonna teach me anything."
Hunter's about 8 1/2 LOL He was found when he was about 6mths. My poor baby had Lyme Disease. So he can do whatever he wants for the most part 😍😍

Now she's got to work at her own routine to be worthy of him! 👍❤️
Wipe own feet on the doormat.

She's now 14, quite deaf and, after reaching her tenth year, much too old and independent to deal with my shit anymore
I love her so much!

He’s got an excellent start.
Unless, you really like fixing other people’s excel.
Just trust me on that.

That energy will die down sometimes 1.5 years old
Tulip used to be off the chain just like him at 7 months
Tulip can get this energetic but she can also chill at 2.25
When she was 7 months that was all the time off the chain
All hail our new overlord, Waylon.
